:confused3 Can anyone tell me all about these dole whips i keep hearing about? Where can i get them ? Are they on the DDP? Does anyone have a photo? We leave in 5 days! Thanks!

OMG!!:thumbsup2 I have LOVED these for years! They have been my must have every trip since I was a kid at DL and WDW. I used to always get them by the Tiki Room in MK and DL. If you like pineapple....you MUST! I will be there in a week and will not leave w/o having at least one!!:woohoo:

aloha isle in WDW. just over the adventureland bridge from the hub (tiki room is a bit further down)

The first couple Dole Whip Floats I had were true magic. Yum!

Now, for some reason, they upset my stomach. However, I still try to get one each trip!

thank everyone for all the response! I love pineapple, i have to get one of these, looks delicious, can't wait!:yay:

They're nice, but don't expect too much from them. I love pineapple, and there's nothing wrong with the Dole Whip float. But I wasn't totally wowed by it. It's not a must do for me. Mickey bars sure are, though! :mickeybar

Here's the funny thing...I do NOT like pineapple, but I love Dole Whip Floats. I also find that they taste better on brutally hot days. In August there is nothing more refreshing to me. On our trip earlier this month, with low humidity and temps in low 70s, I did not enjoy it as much and let DS12 finish mine after he had eaten his own.

What is it about "tween-age" boys and their appetites? I have 2 brothers and don't recall them eating the vast quantities of food DS does. He just keeps getting taller and taller without gaining weight. My food budget is half-again as big as it was a year ago!!

.... like frozen crack in a cup. Can't get enough when I am at WDW. Loved being at Poly last year because they were available in Capt. Cook's food court. Since I could get one any hour of the day, I was able to avoid my Dole Whip jones every day.

Some do not have as strong a feeling about the Dole Whip (or as I like to call it "frozen euphoria"), but many of us do! :yay:

:thumbsup2

You can get a Dole Whip as a snack credit, but the Dole Whip Float is gonna cost you. At least that is the way it was last November.

:thumbsup2

Ok, i think i am a little confused about the dole whip. There is the dole whip which is like soft serve ice cream in a little cup and then there is the dole whip float with the pineapple juice? So you have a choice between the two and the float cost more??? Is that right? In that case i think i would like the float.

Yes, that is correct. The Dole Whip is just the pineapple soft serve in a cup. The Float has the pineapple soft serve with pineapple juice. The soft serve is not plain old soft serve ........ Dole Whips are soft serve mixed and frozen with pineapple juice, this is why they are special in my book (pineapple soft serve has to be a gift from God :cloud9: ). As for cost, I know for a fact the Dole Whip is a snack on the DDP, but last year we had to pay for the Float out of pocket since it was not a DDP snack.

Thanks so much for clearing that up for me. We were there last year in Sept. and i don't remember seeing them, then again i wasn't looking for them. I can't wait to try one. Which is better? It sounds good both ways but if you had to pick, dole whip or dole whip float?:goodvibes
