For example, a thing I see on navigators is “3d disney cruise line crafts” or “frozen crafts.” What are they like?
My favorite was the ADULT make a tile coaster in O'Gills. Your are provided with a balsa wood frame and glue colored tiles in place. The not wanting glue and the small tiles are what make it an adult craft.
We did this on the fantasy in May and the bar was filled with kids. People even brought crying babies. It was not enforced as “adult only”.
That's a great idea to grab a sheet to do later at home! DD18 made some 3D crafts on the ship and they didn't travel well in the 3D form, she was also rushed doing one of them as we were trying to get to another activity. The 3D crafts are paper you cut and glue together to make things like a ship model, Pirate Mickey, Pascal from Tangled, frozen was an Olaf and Anna.
Even if we didn’t have time to do a 3D crafts cause we wanted to do another activity we did stop by and grab a sheet to do later when we got home.
I must of have lucked out then. Maybe it is time for Disney to start holding adult activities, crafts or trivia in the Adult areas of the ship where it would be less likely to ensure activity remains for the adults.
I would have been the 0ne to say something. Adults on is adults only. Pretty sure I would get escorted out if I tried to take over the kids clubThe coaster making I went to was. But it was during the day when anyone is allowed in the area. There was a family in another section of the pub playing games, and it was not a problem. It was the selfish mom who thought her little ones should be allowed because "they love doing crafts". Last I checked, there is an area where they can do arts-type stuff in the clubs even if it's not an organized activity. It was just not a good situation - especially when the CM put all the other guests in the position of either letting the kids stay or being "that person" who didn't allow a child to do what she wanted.
If it's time for anything, it's time for Disney to empower their CMs to enforce age limits and not be so overly worried about offending someone. NOT for them to start moving things because some people think they don't have to follow the rules.
