What are chances of getting Beach Club @ 7mon for July

We just had our 1st stay in Epcot area (Yacht Club concierge on points) and absolutely loved the location and SAB. Even with 2 small children, we spend most of our time at Epcot. The hotel itself is in need of refurbishment, but with extra points that had to be used up, that's why we booked there. Although we love SSR, we realized the following:

- it's too far removed from things with 2 small children (this was our 1st trip with 2 children)
- we aren't spending as much time at Downtown Disney as we used to
- the kids love to see animals, go swimming or take part in kids' activities at the other resorts
- we always have a car, but kids are tired of always being in a car while staying at SSR (don't care for the buses), but love the monorail, walking or ferry to parks

We went over to Beach Club and fell in love with it! We met Sissy at the DVC desk inside the villas, who told us that we'd have a pretty good chance of getting Beach Club at 7 month window for summer as the hot weather keeps a lot of people away. I am a teacher, so we always travel in the summer - owning at SSR & AKV though means that Beach Club will need to be booked at 7 months. What do you all think?

Summer, although not for 4th of July I'm pretty sure, seems to be a time that you can book outside your resort at 7 months. Go for it!

We had no problem booking a studio at 7 months out for BCV for late July 2007 or 2008 (see my countdown ticker below!).

Both times, we were booking about an 8 day stay. We called day-by-day for both trips.

I got a 5 night stay at BCV for this August at the 7 month mark...I did call day by day though and would recommend this to be on the safe side..i also got a 6 night stay VWL for the following week at the 7 month mark..and thats the smallest DVC I think.

Iam sure you'll be fine and you'll LOVE BCV...its my DH's favourite resort.

I am owner at SSR..... I was able to get beach club 7 months out for BCV...last year.

IT was amazing.. I was able to get 3 1br and 1 studio.. at the 7 month mark.

Please note that I did call each day by day at exactly 9am when member services opened.

Definitely call right at the 7 month mark to get your room. I did that this year and had a 1br for 5 nights in August. Then, about a week later, I invited my mom and stepfather along on the trip and tried to get a 2 bedroom and they were completely full. We ended cancelling the BCV ressie and ended up with a 2br at SSR instead. We'll just have to do BCV another time.

We are both teachers and have traveled to WDW in July for several years now and love it. We have not had any trouble getting a studio at BCV at the 7 month window for the last two years and for this summer. We never go for the 4th of July but have gone a few days after that and towards mid to late July with no problems. I agree that BCV is the place to be in the summer. We can't wait to go this year!

Hi,

We booked studio at Beach Club Villas for 9 nights in early August at seven month window with no difficulty.

We had our first trip 'home' to SSR in March. During a trip to Epcot we decided call in have a look at BCV. The place looked amazing. Roll on August.

Thanks everybody!! That sounds great - I will let my hubby know as we were talking about selling some of our SSR contract, and perhaps buying at Contemporary, but then we realized that would be jumping the gun as we've only booked 1x at 7 months out, so we need to try it first before we decide we can't do it. We can travel all of July and the 1st few weeks of August, so we should be good. The Epcot area works absolutely best for our young family.

I had no problem getting BCV at the 7 month mark for this July. I got a 2BR (the kind with two queen beds) for a week starting 7/8-7/15. I called day by day right at the opening time of MS. DH is a teacher, so our primary travel time is always in summer.
