I think your chances are pretty good

For the past two years there have been discounts of 15-30% off room only rates for the general public between April and mid June. Google 'Disney historic discounts' and a website will pop up and show the % discount for the past few years, the dates the discount was first announced and who can get the discount. Not all of the deluxe resorts will qualify for the 30%, some will only be 20% off. Disney visa cardholders also have first crack at booking the discount before the general public. Look for the discount for May to be released at the end of December/beginning of January.
