At certain times of the year, Disney will put a bounce back offer in a guest room at select resorts. It has been in the welcome booklet that the guest receives at check out. The offer has been either a discount or free dining during select dates. In order to receive the bounce back deal, you have to call the number listed in the offer while you are staying in the resort. You can't get this offer once you check out.

If you don't find a bounceback offer in your welcome folder or in your room, are you just out of luck, or is there a number you can call, just in case one is available?

There might not be one available at that time. But it is worth it to call the number listed in the flyer that you see in the above post. People in value resorts have been able to book a bounce back this way, if one was available, that is.

From the phone in your resort room, Dial 8844 - this gets you right to the bounce back department - they know the most about it

I just wanted to add that it's always best to book something if there's even a slight chance you might return because you are no longer eligible to book a BB once you check out. Dates and resort can be changed after you leave (provided there is availability and the new dates fall within the original BB dates), but you can't book a new reservation under the BB once you've left Disney. Also, you can cancel a BB later on if you see you aren't able to take the trip.

As the pp said, call X8844 from your room and ask if a BB is being offered.
