What and where was your best service in a Disney restaurant?

People seem to all be looking for different things in restaurants so I was curious.

Narcoosees above and beyond all, LeCellier and Chefs DeFrance tied for second.

The Yachtsman. Our dinner there (over 2 hours) was fantastic from beginning to end.

V&A
Bistro de Paris
Jiko

I've never had bad service at any of these 3.

Hollywood and Vine - Sue
California Grill - Hector
Le Cellier - Alicia

Worst service...Breakfast at OHanas (Dinner was fine) and 50's Prime Time (lunch).

Tusker House (breakfast) was pretty bad too, but I completely blame that on our waitress being very very busy. She was more overwhelmed opposed to grumpy as the other two mentioned above. We had 8:00am ressies at Tusker and it seemed like everyone else who was there did too. Everyone entered at the same time.

We have received the best service at Jiko. I have found the wait staff there to be there when you need them, but they are not intrusive. They are great about helping pace your meal appropriately, and they are very knowledgable about their menu and wine list.

The best service we have had along with a great meal has consistently been every visit to LeCellier. Now we've never done a signature restaurant because we don't care for "foo foo" food as my DH calls it (same reason he doesn't like GF for a resort), so it could be better there.

From my '06 trip report:

Le Cellier, Canada, Epcot- We ate here in ‘02 and declared it the best meal we ever had at WDW. If Earl of Sandwich was #1 this trip, then Le Cellier was #1A. We started with the cheese soup and bread sticks (yummy). Then we each had the French Dip Sandwich (yummy again). We were so stuffed, we said no to dessert. Here’s where we got more pixie dust. I swear our server, Brad, was the best waiter we’ve ever had at any restaurant He talked to us like we were old buddies! DW mentioned we were celebrating our 25th anniversary. When we asked for the check, he came back with a dessert. He said, “I know you said no to dessert, but the kitchen made you something special for your anniversary. It was a small but beautiful that said “Happy 25th Anniversary!” with a signed card by ALL the wait staff. And not just their signatures, but actual comments! We were blown away! Kudos to Brad and all the staff at Le Cellier!

I would say Jiko, the server was knowledgeable and helpful, great timeliness of the food, and they kept checking in just the right amount!

well we have had great service everywhere but the first two that came to mind was Le Cellier...I do not remember the names but we have gone twice and both times the people are just the best, super nice and just awesome.

Ohanas I LOVE Cousin Cliff and Cousin Joe ( I think his name was Joe)

Last May our service at Yachtsman was outstanding. Our service at Calif Grill, Narcoossee, and Citricos was very good as well. Definitely a step above our non-signature meals.

Our best non-signature service of the trip-Raglan Road. She was great.

From my November TR: Tony @ Coral Reef

We are early for Coral Reef and have to wait, but it's totally worth it. I must say, if you ever get to request a waiter, Tony is awesome! This guy is worth his weight in gold. He keeps on top of my high maintenance family and then some. He laughs with us, kids around with us and gives us tips on things in the park and in the tank. He brings DD19 refills of Coke by 2's. The kids kept asking for the pineapple out of my alcohol drink and he would play games with them to get it. Now keep in mind these are 17 & 19 year olds and he has them totally entertained. When we ordered dessert he brought them each a bonus plate of pineapple. What a guy. I stopped by the desk on the way out and asked them to tell the manager that we will come back because of Tony.

All of the food here was excellent. Another place I'd highly recommend and go to again. Tony is a bonus :)

We've had a lot of great service at a number of restaurants at WDW. But it really is hit and miss. For example: I had about the best service ever at the Portofino Yacht Club about a year ago. But on our next visit 6 months later the service was just so-so. Our first try at FF the service was not too good at all. But last spring the service at FF was one of the highlights of the trip. I guess if I was looking for places with the most consistent good to great service I would choose Artisti Point, California Grill, and Raglan Road. I do have to give a disclaimer on Raglan Road though. We normally eat there when it is a bit slow and we always eat at the bar. The bartenders there have always given us great service.

I would have added Jiko to the list too. In the past we have always had at least good service there. But on our last visit we had a waiter that just didn't seem to want to wait on us. Too bad for him too. We were there with a party of 8 adults from DH's family who are very big tippers. That is if they get great service. We just let the 15% tip that was included stand. But I can tell you that he missed out on doubling that. It's funny too. Because DH's family really tries to chat up the servers and get a friendly exchange going. But this guy was having none of that. My DBIL left a brief, but kind message on the ticket letting him know what he missed out on and why.

I agree the V&A was unlike any other service we have ever received. We were at the Chef's Table which made it even more special.

We also had great service at Restaurant Marrakesh.

Biergarten and Boma were exactly what we expected for a buffet. No complaints there.

Kona Cafe and Wolfgang Puck's Cafe were fine but nothing special. We thought it was a little odd that our server at Kona insisted on taking us on a tour of the plastic models of dessert before we ever sat down but whatever.

The service at Sci-Fi Dine-In matched the food there. Both were terrible. Our server was like a robot and she disappeared after our food was served.

At California Grill, we had wonderful service from our server when we finally got seated but lousy service up until that point. We couldn't get served at the bar. Nobody seemed to want to talk to DH when he went to ask how much longer after we passed the 45 minute mark from when our ADR was. However, we talked to the manager afterward and she was truly wonderful with fielding our complaint. She even gave us her personal business card so they can make it up to us next time and a $50 credit which we didn't expect and didn't find out about until we checked out.
