[Crazy Mother of Two]

My family was soooo excited to get to the Animal Kingdom! We planned on spending all day here and then going to DTD tonight. So today was little different in that instead of having a relaxing morning - we ate our usual breakfast quickly and got to the bus stop by 8:30. By the time we got to Animal Kingdom it was 8:55am! This would be our first and only park opening!!! I must say that I actually didn't like it as much as arriving a little later. Everyone is gathered together and when they finally do let you in -you're all heading to the same few places!
Our plan was to go directly to Killimanjaro Safari but with everyone heading there we chose to take our time and head towards the safari. We saw a small line and without knowing who we would be seeing we hopped on only to realize that is was for Lilo and Stitch!! Cool! We waited about 15 minutes and then the family ahead of us was called and told that they would be the last family for a bit!!?! After that family left a woman escorted Lilo and Stitch inside. The PhotoPass guy assured us that it would only be for a minute and then we would go. Whew!! It would have been my luck that they stopped signing until the afternoon!
After that we made our way to the Safari and chose to get a fastpass. The fast pass started in 20 minutes. We strolled around at my kids decided to color an animal mask while we waited. The young man running the table was super nice! He was from Africa and told my kids about his 28 hour plane flight! My kids liked him so much they weren't to anxious to leave! But there came a time when we did leave!
It was just about time for the fastpass - so we headed over. Just before you enter the safari, there is kiosk selling camera's. I figured I had to buy another camera anyway - and I didn't want to miss cool animals so... $19 for a disposible camera! This is now my second one after destroying mine on our first day!! Thank goodness for PhotoPass!!
