What am I missing?

Ok, I just read the great new tips thread, read the older tips thread and still I am worried! It is our first trip and I want to make sure I have all we need!

So I have extra batteries, a new Sony Handycam, disposable ponchos, tons of wipes, extra toothbrushes so we can toss em, shiny pennies for the presses )(and quarters too), packed the kids clothes in ziplocs, packed empty garbage bags, Crystal light single packets, all of our ADRs on index cards along with park hours and parade FW times, sunscreen, bug spray, a harness for our little Houdini, Tinkerbell gifts, snack packs of crackers and cookies, granola bars for breakfast, disney dollars and I still don't feel prepared!

What have I missed? All of you experienced types, what would you pack for me? :confused3

not knowing how old your family members are it is hard to say. But is there something small and toteable to keep little Houdini occupied while enroute or while waitting in lines or while grown-ups finish eatting? comfy shoes? sunglasses and hats with a brim for all? Never took extra tooth brushes before. That is new to me. Are you flying? Driving? Train? Do you have what you need for that? Do you have time set aside for yourself to relax before you go? :grouphug: It sounds like you are well set. Just don't set down too strict of a schedule. If this is your first trip just figure it is your "learning" trip and that someday in the future you will come back and "do" everything. It is wonderfully magical there, you will love it. Be relaxed and go with the flow. It is amazing what people can live without if they had to. So don't worry so much about forgetting something. If you have clothes, money, tickets, and know who you are and where you live - you will make out just fine in WDW. :wizard:

The kids are 4 and 21 months, we are flying unless Delta kills that for us, our Tink gifts are all 'keep them occupied' kinds of stuff and the extra toothbrushes come easy for us - DH and I are both dentists! Toothbrushes are something we always have extra of!

Wish I had some time to relax before we leave but I work MTW so I am working my whole week next week and we fly out on Thurs!

I think what I might need most is a big deep breath! (I'd love a drink but the countdown to DS #2 in my signature precludes doing that!)

hi there
we're flying Delta, too. They just emailed me and siad that "we are not experiencing any distruption to our service and you can continue to fly on Delta with confidence"

I had a ?? for you: are you taking a stroller onto the airplane?? and if so, is it a big one? I can't get a straight answer from Delta if they have a size restriction on strollers.
thanks

dont forget plenty of sunscreen. Also i always pack extra socks just in case it rains! no one likes soggy feet lol!

Personally, I would add a camera if not already packed. Surely that 4 yr old princess will want her picture taken with all the princesses and other characters (not to mention the prince)! We always seem to use our camera more than our camecorder, just easier to get to. JMO

Got the camera and even a disposable for DD (should be funny to see her point of view!)

Extra socks! That's a good one!

faithscrazymom - Don't know about the stroller thing either. I am bringing a Graco Duoglider and they's better let me gate check it!

Oh, yeah and a first aid kit with moleskin, bandaids and that Dermoplast spray!

The one item I was glad I had plenty of was advil for me and tylenol for the kids. For some reason we ALL got headaches by the end of a long day. Just tired I suppose!

From what I have read it sounds like you are in good shape :earsboy: so its time to put on a smile and count down the hours until you and your family are having a wonderful time in Disney!

That you are going on vacation

Too true! I packed some more last night and talked to DH today as he has had nothing to do with planning so far. I'm trying to fill him in just a little before we go. He is one of those people who doesn't know Space Mountain from Splash Mountain! OTOH, he is so agreeable that when I have asked him several times what HE wants to do he has said that whatever I pick is fine with him - and he actually means it!

Thanks everyone!
