I think for the first time we are going to go with no dining plan and no restrictions. Its just my sister and I and she is a very picky eater. She will not try anything out of the ordinary. Below is the list of places we have gone:

Liberty Tree
50's Prime
Tony's Town
Coral Reef
Via Napoli
Le Cellar
Be our Guest
Hollywood and Vine
Rose and Crown
Ohana
Grand Floridian Café
Turf Club
Whispering Canyon
Kona Café
Rainforest Café
Yak N Yeti
Chef Mickey
Garden Grill (Breakfast Only)
Big River

Is there something that we are missing out on? Planning a breakfast and dinner. All suggestions are much appreciated. Reservation day is approaching

Boma, Sanaa, Cape May, Biergarten - all have options for plain eaters and those who enjoy a little something different!

Well, personal opinion, Tusker House is a must do, but if your sister is a picky eater, a lot of the menu will be lost on her. The breakfast does have a lot of the regular offerings though, so she can ignore the African inspired dishes (though they are the best in my opinion). Also, Garden Grill for Lunch is also very good and there is nothing weird there, just good, country-style comfort food.

Any of the character buffets would work (except perhaps Tusker House) if you are willing to spend the money on a character meal. If not, I would consider the Wave at CR, Ale and Compass at YC, Trails End at Ft. W, Trattoria al Forno at BWI, anything at DHS would fit the bill (Sci-Fi is fun!), the Plaza in MK.

Boma, Tusker House, Ale and Compass, Sci Fi Dine In, Homecoming

I have been thinking of Sci Fi. Do they have normal seating for 2 people or do you have to sit in one of the cars with other people?

I second Biergarten and The Wave. They both have options for adventurous and non-adventurous eaters.

I used to also recommend Boma, as I think it too has plenty of options for non-adventurous eaters...but we brought my in-laws there once and they disagreed.

They have regular tables in the back and also the car seating, however, if you are seated in a car, you will be in a seat next to each other and will be facing forward. You probably won't even notice the other people in the car in other seats - at least we never have!

We did sci fi just dh and I and it didn’t bother us at all sitting with other people. They were in front of us so it wasn’t like we were facing them.

Boma
Jiko
Brown Derby
Sci-Fi
Chefs de France
All of these you can be as adventurous or not as you wish.

Flying Fish has "normal" as well as adventurous entrees and appetizers.
Earl of Sandwich
Pizza Ponte
Boathouse
Yachtsman

Plaza is a must-do for us once every trip. Reasonably priced and about as basic as it gets.

Boma. My husband is a meat and potatoes guy and I'm much more adventurous. He was nervous about Boma the first time we went there, but went to make me happy. It's now one of his favorite meals.

I'm going to semi-disagree about Biergarten. My husband does love it, and it is a lot of fun, but one of my kids is super picky and will only eat bread, occasionally a piece of meat, and dessert there. The salads and sides are pretty German.

And I agree that any of the character buffets are going to have meat and potatoes types of food: Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, 1900 PF,

Sci-Fi is one of our favourite restaurants. Great atmosphere and the food is pretty mainstream so good for the pickier eaters.

The Plaza in MK has some great sandwich options.

Any of the character buffets should work with enough variety of food to please just about everybody.
