What Am I Going To Do!!!!!???

I have let so many good airfares slip thru my fingers because ive taken the time to discuss flight times and length of stay with my family that now I dont know if well even get to go!!! Today orbitz had airfare for 236.00 round trip from seattle on AA. We discussed staying an extra day the price for airfare was the same. I was only gone from the computer 20 minutes and the airfare went up to 303.00 a person!!!!!!! Does anyone know how the airlines and websites like orbitz operate? Did airfare go up because its the weekend? Should I take some blood pressure medicine sit back and relax and try again next week(we are flying out around june 27th) so I sill have some time. Is anyone out there that has been as stupid as me and what did you do? Cancel or go for it? Any suggestions, comments, pixie dust, will be much appreciated. Mimimom

I don't know if it an option for you but Southwest Airlines has a new program called "DING". I loaded on my computer and get at least 2 "DING's" a day with amazing airfares. I do know that they fly from Seattle to Orlando. Might be an idea for a better airfare.

Relax....figure out the dates you want to travel then search every day..depending on your return date...I found $269 on AA what is your return date..

I say take a deep breath and just relax!! You have plenty of time to find good airfare... We are leaving 4/8 and just booked 3/1 and was freaking out that we wouldn't find any airfare but we did!!

I'm finding the cheap fare...how many people are traveling...that could be the problem...you can have a few people at the cheaper fare and then pay a little more for the others.

I also recommend go to the AA site and book direct with them you will save $5.

Sometimes when you check rates and then go back a few minutes later you can't get the rate back. I think it sometimes internally "holds" your original rate check and if you go back later or the next morning it will go back down.

I wouldn't wait too much longer after looking at this these prices look pretty good...I would decide then book.

Found some good rates on www.cheapseats.com for $268 with AA from Seattle. You may want to take a look at that site and check out the flight times . I found rates for myself for 5 of us ( 2 adults & 3 children) for $168 RT from DCA/BWI for the end of July/Aug.

This may not help you, but AA is having a price math guarntee. If you find a lower fare on the same flights. That you have booked on AA.COM (its either within 12 or 24 hours) they will match the price and give you a $50 travel voucher. You just have to print the screen to file and e mail them. Like I said I am sure its too late for you.
