With just five weeks to go (yikes! Is that really possible?) I have these things accomplished:

Hojos reservations (made WAY back last Spring)
Admission tickets purchased (got in on the "all pay the child's price" deal)
Disney dining resies made for Ariel's Grotto and BB
From Disneyshopping I have purchased T-shirts for all of us (some matching, some not), and small messenger bags for the kids. Have yet to do the shopping for the goods inside the bags. But I have lists!!
From Crocs.com I got Disney Crocs for myself and the kids (all at $16 and $18, plus free shipping! :cool1: )
We all got new stacking luggage last summer.....

So I guess my next step would be to start my packing lists and shopping lists? I am still not believing this is real, but I guess it will become so in short time! :hourglass

WOW!! Your on a ball:cool1: Looks like you have things well in place for your trip. Sounds like you have pretty much the basics. Now you just need to have this next month fly by so you can enjoy your trip:thumbsup2

Isn't that anxious feeling kinda like a Love/Hate relationship?! You love it because you know it's going to be exciting but you hate it because it isn't close enough?! That's how I am :lmao:

Enjoy your trip!!

Planning is almost as much fun as actually going, isn't it? We're going in 24 days, and we booked through Disney so out tickets and hotel are taken care of. I made ps, too, and we're actually all packed! We're trying to "Surprise" the kids, so I had them pack early and just set their suitcases aside. They know we're going, but they have no idea when.

We're driving there, so our last few things include buying new tires and getting the van checked out. Won't be a very good vacation if we don't make it there!

Lime green Mickey Heads.:thumbsup2

DesertBell- We are driving as well, and we still have to get all that mechanical stuff done to our van. I will allow my husband to take care of that aspect - after all, I wouldn't want him to miss out on the planning magic! :rotfl2:

DISNEY[MOMMA] - thanks, I don't feel so organized right now because suddenly this trip that was two years is away is now NEXT MONTH! :scared: I don't know how that happened! But you are right, in some ways it is still too far away.....

Jayne- I have some of those!! Thanks for reminding me!! We don't have a Home Depot in our town, but every time we visit one I tell my hubby "I'll be on the paint aisle...." :thumbsup2

I already have packed :

Pennies and Quarters for the press machines (we have a list of the pennies we already have pressed so we don't get doubles)

Surge protector (we use this to charge batteries for the camera and our son's Nintendo DS)

Matching Mickey Mouse shirts

Sunglasses

and some other stuff that I am too lazy to go look and see what it is, LOL

I dug our suitcases out a few months ago and they are in the guest room. Just waiting for next month when they see the blue sky of California!!

These are some things we HAVE to have in our backpacks-
cheap ponchos from the $ store
individually wrapped wipes ( we keep 2 in each bag and reload when we get back to the hotel)
small sunscreen
pen/small notepad
chapstick
granola bar. fruit rollup. beef jerky/ crackers
small 1st aid kit (includes bandaids, antiseptic wipes, tylanol, pepto pills, imodium pill, bynadril- we bought one of those travel 1st aid kits and added one dose of each med just in case. If we use a dose, we reload when we get back to the hotel)
Ziploc baggies to put phones in on Splash Mountain and Grizzly River Rapids
Baggie w/ pennies and quarters for pressing
Glow sticks for nighttime fun
travel size tissues (for sneezes and incase the potty is out of paper!)

LOL!! This is almost word-for-word the list I have made for what I want to put in my kids' bags! Great minds must think alike!! :woohoo:
Do you buy most of your small items at Dollar Tree? That is where I plan on getting my glow sticks, tissues, etc. I am almost giddy with the thought of shopping for this trip, I can't even imagine how I will feel when we actually GO!!

The only other thing we're in the process of planning (gonna be there when you arrive) is: Are you interested in doing one of the tours or the Dessert Seating for Fantasmic. These can be booked 30 days prior. If interested in Fantasmic, make sure you call at 8am on the 30th day prior, because seats go fast!
Have fun on your trip!!! Looks like Oregon will be represented that week!! (by the way, where on the Oregon Coast??)

We'll probably just elbow our way in for Fantasmic, if the kids can even last long enough to see it, LOL! That will be last evening of three FULL days so they might be passed out!
Whoop whoop for Oregon! We are in Tillamook, the cheesiest place on the coast! :thumbsup2

I saw a similar thread on the WDW forum about not forgetting certain things, and someone mentioned not to forget your DH and kids!
:lmao:

We're in Medford now, but hubby grew up in Coos Bay & I grew up in Coquille. Moved from the Coos Bay area almost 3 yrs ago. Have been to Tillamook, many times!! Have a "Fantasmic" trip!!

I just wanted to say enjoy your trip and have a great time. This looks more fun for all of you.

Have a nice and safe trip coming. :)

Hi all,
Just wanted to chime in with my "Don't forget list...."

1. Make sure you have 2 pair of shoes per person. Obviously you'd want a dry pair if yours get wet for some reason. But I have also found that when we'd head back to the room to get ready for dinner, by changing into a different pair of shoes definitely re-engerized my feet. I make the kids do it too, even if they say their feet aren't hurting. I can't even begin to tell you how much better my feet feel just by doing this simple thing. It's an easy way to perk up tired feet!

2. On my last trip down there in 2006, I went to the Disney store and bought $5.00 increments of Disney Dollars, 1 for each day we'd be there. I gave my kids $5.00 spending money per day to spend on whatever they wanted. I told them they could spend $5.00 on that day or save it to keep earning $5.00 more each day. That way if there was something they said they wanted, they had to think about did they REALLY want it or did they want to save up for something else a little more expensive. Sometimes they'd spend it on a treat at Pooh Corner and sometimes they'd save up a couple days to spend on something a little more pricey. I found this really helped with "gifts" during the trip. I knew they had their own money to spend and they weren't bombarding me with "I want......".

3. I brought a blanket called a "Neat Sheet" to put down on the sidewalk to sit on for parades. It folds up small enough that it doesn't take up alot of room to carry in a backpack. It's also slightly water repellant and we used it to cover our stroller when we were caught in a downpour and went on a ride. The water beaded up and rolled right off.

4. I went to our Dollar Tree yesterday and bought some glow-stick necklaces and bracelets. They also had the coolest thing.......glow stick fairy wands! It's a long handle with a star on the end and the entire thing glows! I bought one for each of the kids on our next trip. Not sure if my boys will think it's the coolest thing or not.......but I know my niece will love it (and so will I!). We can pretend we are Fairy Godmothers!! :thumbsup2

5. Having small kids, we usually bring our own lunch into the park. So we bring our own food and keep it in the hotel room fridge. We bring our own case of water, stuff to make sandwiches (bread, the fixins, baggies, etc), chips/goldfish, capri suns, string cheese, go-gurts, etc. Then we usually splurge a little more at dinner since we didn't spend any $$ at lunch.

Ummm........that's all I can think of now. princess:

White noise machine for in the room to drown out any hallway noise. It helps my kids sleep better and deeper in an unfamiliar place.

Such a beautiful area. My aunt and Uncle live in Myrtle Point. Bandon is one of my favorite places to visit. I'm so sad the cheese factory isn't there anymore.
