What am I forgetting to budget for???

I also had to figure in the cost of the kennel for my dog back home. Sure adds up $25.00 a day for 9 days!!!!!

boarding our cats last time we went to WDW (for 2 weeks) about killed our budget ... fortunately this time we've got a neighbor (school mate of my daugher's) that can come in daily to feed the cats and take care of "other" items as well. :)

Stephan - nice try buddy. LOL This ain't my first time to WDW, are you saying it's your first time and THAT is why I'm supposed to throw you a cocktail party??

How 'bout a beer in the Epcot German pavilion instead? ;)

To save on food expenses I was considering bringing along some nonparishable items like cereal, nuts, jerky, pringles chips (less like to crumble to itty bitty crumbs), etc. If we can get a small refrigerator in the room to stock up on juice, milk, bottled water, and sodas that would help save a bit more money too (at least, I think).

Susan:

IMO the savings in bringing snacks from home v/s buying them at the grocery store in FL (Publix, not Goodings) is minimal. You'll be picking up beverages anyway. Bring coupons if you're feeling particularly frugal. You can also just buy a styrofoam cooler for a couple of $$ while picking up groceries. Make sure you get one shaped like |_| and not \_/ since you'll be able to fit more in the straight one. They work fine as long as you drain and add ice twice a day (not a big deal).

You might also want to check out your local Walgreen's ad before you go. I think they are the same everywhere. I was able to pick up 25 oz bottled water at Walgreens at 4 for a $1. It was a great deal! You can also just buy a Britta filtered water bottle (~$6, also available at the grocery store) if the taste is what bothers you about Orlando water. It does a good job at removing the unpleasant taste (but not the other things like a Britta pitcher or faucet attachment).
