What am I doing wrong? Help please.

They are mostly dvc rooms. The only time they go to cash as far as I'm aware is when points are not used. This happens closer to the date than other rooms. So either the few they had are gone already or they have yet to open up.

The poster said Yacht & Beach. Y & B are not DVC resorts. Only Beach Club Villas are DVC. Y & B are always cash. Yacht Club is a convention resort & often has a lot of rooms held for one tho.

Yes. I know it is not sold out in all rooms and all resorts. That is why I am asking what I am doing wrong. It is clearly user error. As I said, the system seems to be trying to use a discount I am not looking for, because obviously every room at every resort is not sold out for May 2023. You can see it, I can't. How do I get it to show up for me?

Edit: I know there is availability. I am not asking that. I am asking what am I doing wrong that I cannot see it?

What I do when that happens: go to the discount offer page & click on any resort. On that page I change it to the room offer. Once I get the regular room rate page up, I use the change feature. Put in the new dates you want. You can put in all resorts or just that one at first. It seems to get rid of that stuck discount page. Annoying but usually works for me.

Thank you. That was a truly very helpful response.
I had tried incognito, but not changing browser. I finally cleared cookies as a last resort, because it wipes out stuff I want to keep in my cookies.
But it worked after that. I think it had an old search stuck in there, that must have been under some discount. I always search without discount, and once I find what I am looking for, then check for discounts last because they are so limited. I wish I knew how to see if it is trying to apply some discount.
Thank you again, Marionnette.
When you do your search, what comes up will say if there is a specific discount or not. It will show the normal rate and the discounted rate. If there is not a lot of availability, few options will come up. This has happened to me on occasion even though I have been doing these searches for decades. I forget. I'm old.

If you want to get out of that, look at the top part of the screen that is right under your search parameters. It will say something like, "3 Offers Match the Selected Travel Dates and Resort" with buttons next to each. If you are in a discounted category, and want to see what else is available at rack rate, click on, "room, offer type, room" or "package, offer type, room and theme park tickets". This will usually give you more options than the discounted category. You can switch back and forth to see what's available.

You do not have to go and clear all of your cookies but that is something you can tell someone to do that will quickly help them vs trying to explain other ways of looking which they still may not understand.

I wasn't looking for 2 days, I was looking for 5-7 days. Why would switching to "package" help? Are there more under that category?
Thank you for your response.
You didn't ask why it wasn't working; you asked what wasn't working. My suggestion makes it work. I did misread "Dec, 5-7 days" as "December 5th to 7th," so my short stay observation may be incorrect, but my recommendation stands since I experienced the same lack of results but fixed it.

FYI - just in case you aren't aware, you can delete only Disney web cookies. I do that about once a week because MDE is just awful with being wonky with cookies and browsers. It doesn't dump anything of importance in regards to browsing or saved data that you'd need or care to keep.
I did not know you can delete only Disney web cookies. How do I do that?
I use desktop, Disneyworld.disney.go.com, not MDE or any mobile app.
Thank you for your reply.

What has happened to me was when I put in my dates for all resorts nothing shows. I click on one resort and it will show prices or after you have clicked on one resort go up to the search on the same page and change it to all resorts. They all show up then. For some reason it does not show resorts available on the first page. I have to click on one first🤷‍♀️.

Same here. For some reason instead of showing prices after I search, it shows all the hotels and says "check availability" and then when I click on the hotel, then it shows me prices/available rooms.

And certain months it shows me prices straight away. Odd.

Thank you. It is nice to hear someone say they have had this happen as well.
I think this will help in the future.

Thank you. It means a lot that others say they have the same problem, and a way to get the WDW website to "snap out of it".

Google Chrome.
Click 3 stacked dots in upper right corner
click settings
click privacy and security
click cookies and other site data
click see all cookies and site data
in the search box type Disney
select remove all shown
or
remove each one at a time by clicking the trash can icon beside the appropriate one

or another another idea, anytime you want to do something, Google it by typing exactly what you want to do in the search bar. In this case you’d type “how do I delete individual cookies in Chome”
You’ll get step by step instructions
sometimes even YouTube videos

Going to jump in here too. Is anyone else having issues finding room-only availability for early December? Specifically dates involving the first weekend. We've cleared cookies, logged out, logged in, used multiple Disney accounts, group sizes (2 and 4), incognito, different browsers etc. but we still only see value resorts and 1 or 2 moderates. Everything else is "Check Availability" and when we click it, it comes back with "This room type is unavailable for the dates, party size or offer selected." I mean, I guess it's possible everything is sold out? 6/34 resorts seem a bit far fetched though.

Was looking for a few days in dec aswell for only 2 days and nothing shows but if you add more days they magically show up. How many days you looking for?

I've tried 3-7 nights Dec 1-8, same thing. Only about 7/34 with pricing.
