Do any airlines give discounts for 2 year olds? I understand at 2 years old, our ds will need to purchase a seat and have a carseat.

United does NOT. They used to, but not anymore. As far as I am aware a car seat is NOT required.....yet

Great question :thumbsup2 ...I can't wait to read other responses! We always fly Midwest and once a kid is over 2yrs you have to pay full price for the ticket :sad2: . Under 2 you can either lap them or pay 50% the cost of a seat. You might want to try calling around and wheeling and dealing. You can always try pitting one airline against another...

Best of luck, I hope someone out there knows where to find a deal!

I think Northwest has the same policy.

Once your child is two I am not aware of any airline that gives a discount. Every once in awhile you might see a package deal that includes kids airfare for free or discounted but I have always had to pay the same fare for my kids as for myself once they were two.

Also, although you are not required to have a carseat I highly recommend one. It makes it easier for your child to remain seated the entire flight.
