What Airline Do You Prefer to Fly?

I am now in love with Southwest as it is all I fly to and from school. We use it whenever we can. It is just such a great airline!

I used to use Delta never really had any problems but I really like how Southwest is open seating.

Spirit should be renamed "Ghetto Airlines." $70 1-way from Orlando to NYC -- no thanks; I'll wait for a sale on another airline next time.

Delta has been nice both times I've flown them, even on the smaller planes.

American Airlines has been the most consistent in quality.

Of course, I've only made a total of 5 trips (17 flights) in my entire life.

Aren't one way fares usually ALWAYS a bad deal? I've tried to book one ways from Boston to NY and it wasn't much different than the price of a round trip.

Domestically....Southwest

Internationally...British Airways

BTW I would love to try Jet Blue but they have not expanded into any of my local airports (BWI OR PHL :( )

I like Southwest the best for pricing and the funny antics of the staff on-board, but it stinks when you are late to a connector (or late in general), and have to climb over people to find a seat.

Delta and Northwest are my next favorites.

Have to say I love British Airways, have always found that they couldn't do enough for me.
Flew LTE for the first time last summer, also the last. Will never use them again, they had the sourest staff ever which included the most aggressive flight attendant I have ever seen.
British Airways is such a wonderful contrast to them!

Thank you guys so much for your help! :)

We've don JetBlue out of JFK the last 3 times to WDW, and, other than having to deal with getting to JFK in NYC, they've been great.

Next trip we have booked Delta's Song airline, out of Bradley in Hartford CT. It's our first time on Song, although not our first time on Delta out of Bradley. For us, going out of Bradley is great, because it is much more "hassle free" than going out of any of the NYC airports. Unfortunately, sometimes it is far more expensive to fly out of Bradley, which is why we end up going out of NYC.

Southwest non-stop if availible. Used to fly US Air and/or Delta, but no non-stops to Orlando anymore. To fly other places, I try to avoid connections with Southwest due to the cattle call boarding system.

I avoid southwest for that reason and also because is you are 30 pounds or more overweight they make you buy a 2nd seat to fit your butt LOL.....I like Jet Blue!

We love America West. Their hub is here in Phoenix. They went from being rated the worst in on-time flights to the best in 1 year. They have a great frequent flier club too.
:earsboy:

I've flown US Air, Delta Express, and Southwest. Southwest was the only airline i've had a good experience with. Plus they're on time and cheap, which is great. We only fly from Manchester, which limits us greatly to which airlines we can use (Boston is too busy and a pain to get too), and we are almost always trapped on connecting flights, even in the winter, which is a terrible time to deal with them. Manchester is slowly increasing the nonstops to Florida (all should be nonstops since sooo many NH people go) but they're so much more expensive then the connecting flights. Flying Comair in Feb...if anyone has any comments on them I'd love to see them.

Oh yeah? I thought $70 was a good rate for Orlando to NYC. The round-trips on other airlines were going at more than $140, anyways.

It was also cheaper to fly Spirit to NYC and then AA to Paris, than it was to fly Orlando to Paris with a connection. But, I did it mostly because I wanted to spend a day in NYC. I thought it was a good price, but this was definitely a case of "You get what you pay for."

I was just commenting on the quality of the Spirit flight. The plane, staff, and passengers all left much to be desired. Are one-way flights usually that lacking in quality? I don't know if they have entire flights entirely booked by one-way passengers; I don't know how that works.

JET BLUE IS THE GREATEST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD!

I've heard so many good things about Jet Blue but am still waiting for the chance to use them myself. I thought I had heard they were supposed to start flying out of MCO, but I don't remember seeing any of their flights the last time that I looked.

They fly out of MCO. I've flown Jet Blue three times round trip from JFK to MCO.

if I have a choice. However have used "Useless Air" a bunch due to their non-stop to Philly from Jax. Oh and only Jets please no props (unless it is headed for the Keys).

I try and stick with Continental - But end up on Northwest alot because of my travels with business. I love Continental's First class - Northwest has a crappy first class. I've also flown Jet Blue which is cool - I wish they would come to EWR - I've also flown American on ONE TRIP - had 4 flights in one day and they were all delayed. NEVER again!

i prefer to fly united. anytime i've had a problem, they've always fixed it to my satisfaction. i have been a frequent flier with them for several years and have always had a ton of miles though, so maybe that is why i get better service.

i frequently fly us air b/c i have a bunch of miles with them and they are often the cheapest out of this area for the places we frequently travel to, but i don't particulaly like them.

i've only flown delta once and my flight was uneventful.

out of the other airlines i've flown the only that i refuse to use no matter how cheap it is is continental. i flew them three times. each time something major went wrong that was their fault (i.e. not weather related or security related) and they did not fix it anywhere close to my satisfaction. three strikes and you're out imho.

just to give you an idea of the kind of crappy service i recieved from continental, one time involved one of their employees ripping up my ticket.   that was a nightmare.

otoh, my dad loves continental and has never had a problem with them.

I prefer Delta and have never had a bad experience with them. Delta is the only airline from Salt Lake City that flies non-stop to Orlando.
