what about the lanyard?

Hello collectors

I have just purchased some pins on ebay. I think my daughters will really enjoy trading and collecting at WDW this summer.

But I have a very basic question-- what about the lanyard? Do we need official Disney lanyards? I looked at Disneyshopping.com and there isn't much choice. Any other sources or options? Thanks for advising a beginner!

You don't need a Disney lanyard. Heck, you don't really need a lanyard at all. If you WANT a lanyard, check the mall. Often places like Hot Topic or Claire's will have lanyards (sometimes even ones with Disney characters). The purpose of the lanyard is just to have some way to display your pins while you are at the park. Some people keep their trader pins in their belly bags, some on hats...it's just a matter of personal preference.

Some have them all over their warehouses, too

I buy a new lanyard every few years. Just changing things around. There are some very soft lanyards - the rougher materials can rub against your neck after a while.

DD uses a small Tink pinbag it's about 4 x 6 x 1 and holds enough pins for Park Trading.
I think it's better then the lanyards as the pins are inside and safe from loss and clanging.
