What about point increases??

I'm curious how this worked. Is this because you travel at the same time every year? I thought if they raised somewhere, they had to lower somewhere else? Confused how you went from 27 to 22.

They can raise the points in a time they are planning on going and lower them when they aren't . Just make it easy let say you go Christmas week and thanksgiving week , they can lower the points on easter week and raise them for thanksgiving week .

The one case I know of where a across the board increase happened was for the treehouse villas. They raised the points needed for the villas and decreased the points needed for other sized units. There are also cases where people complained about the view categories of certain rooms, so they had to move them from one cat to another, causing raising points for one view and lowering the other to balance the total points at BLT.

We stay Sun - Thurs due to lower points cost. We travel "off season" at the lowest points costs times of the year.
When we initially bought in, we had enough points to stay 27 nights per year. After all the changes if we stayed those same nights we would only have enough points to stay 22 nights.

I gotcha. I understand how it all works, but we never stay in the same size room, at the same time of year or at the same resorts. So, I wasn't thinking about it in terms of people who do. I was thinking 'well, it went down somewhere else to make up for it'
