What about my camera?

Hi! This is the second time I will be tent camping (thanks to you all). Last year I didn't bring 'my' film camera, but this year I'd like to do that. However, I'm wondering if it's safe, charging the battery during the night. The camera will be in my tent with me, so I'm not worried it will get stolen, but I am worried about the weather. What should I do when there's a storm coming? I will only have a tent, no car.

Off the top of my head I'd say get a cheap extension cord long enough to reach your tent or wrap it tightly in 2 plastic bags.
