What about Dining on the Premium Plan?

We're booked on the premium plan for the first time in many years. The last we did it it was called the deluxe package and service/treatment was outstanding.

I'm finding that making reservations really isn't much of a problem, and cast members are very happy and willing to help me get the most out of the package when I tell them I'm on it. I think I spent 90 minutes on the phone with one and was impressed she was willing to be so helpful.

Has anyone been on this lately that can describe or contrast if there's any difference in treatment between using the DDP and the premium package? I have ADRs at the restaurants we usually go to OOP, so I can see if there's a difference myself.

We used to do the old Deluxe package too. It was great. We first used it in 1983 and it was the Gold Key plan then. There were a number of names over the years but we enjoyed it every time.

We haven't done it in quite a few years now but have done the new DDP three times in the past 13 months. Service is absolutely the same in our experience. Disney friendly.

There are huge differences in the entitlements of course but I'm sure you know about those.;)

Have fun.:cool1: I don't think we have the energy to get full use out of it anymore but I sure would enjoy a package with 2 or 3 TS meals on it instead of one TS and one QS. Not a fan of QS.:sad2:

Thanks. It took us over 10 years to get over the first time we went on the plan. We mostly go and do it OOP these days. Park time isn't an issue. We go a few times a year and if we miss a ride, well, we'll get it next time or the time after that.

We decided to try it one more time when the parks are open late and we enjoy doing other things when it's crowded.

The upside is that room service is now included. We plan on using it to get lunch and take a boat from the poly marina to have it while floating around :)

I'm going on a diet in anticipation :)
