What about a lane for strollers?

They should make one, then all the stroller people could run each other over rather than us!

Although I'm sure that there are 'stroller people' who are guilty of run-overs, there are just as many if not more 'walking people' who suddenly stop in the middle of the path and get hit.

Maybe there should be a 'walking path' so people don't stop in front of the strollers!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good to see another person from the Clem on the DIS boards!!

We are one of the families that have to use a stoller. Half of the time I was just walking (not pushing the stroller). I don't ever recall being hit by a stoller - HOWEVER - when pushing the stoller I was CONSTANTLY dodging the people that were walking along like everyone else, but then just decided to stop right in the middle of traffic. OR - someone beside us and a little in front of us would all the sudden dart right in front of us and we'd have to swerve or stop to avoid hitting them. It got to the point where my wife said "just run 'em over". I told her I really didn't feel like breaking someone's ankle, but it was frustrating nonetheless.

The only place I saw a "stroller lane" was at the path to Fantasmic. And it was WAY to slow for me so I had to go in the "walking people only" lane anyway...

So I guess my point is - regardless if you're pushing a stroller or not, people need to watch where they're going most of all.

Sounds great! Now we also need a lane for ECVs, a lane for old people, a lane for those flag weilding foreigners, a lane for those that stop right in front of you to look at a map, and so on. Please don't single out just the strollers as there are fools in every bunch.

I agree with Daisy, but I just wanted to add that I love stroller threads, nothing gets the fur flying faster.

Now somebody should mention "bratty kids"

I agree with some of the previous posters. Most of the times i`ve been hit by a stroller is because I stopped right in front of them. It`s not right to single out just one group as DaisyD said.:)

I vote for a private lane for considerate and courteous people. You'd have to take a test before gaining access to the lane. :teeth:

Yes to the ECV! And kids older than 7 in a stroller.... :rolleyes1 :lmao: Just kidding on the age...I know that is always a hot topic!

I think there needs to be 3 lanes in each direction. The right lane would be slow walkers, those who may stop short to look at a map at any time, and strollers. The center lane would be for people walking at a resonable rate of speed (no stopping allowed) and those people from the right lane who need to pass. Left lane would be only for those passing, or people who are walking VERY fast.

If you need to stop or slow down, you would, of course, be required to move over to the right lane.

Hey a new job for the Dis police! They can pull people over and hand out citations, or even better yet give them the authority to have certain rule breakers get kicked out of the parks.

I agree with the OP's who stated that people (walking, ecv's, walking pushing strollers/wheel chairs) should pay attention to what's going on around them, not come to a dead stop instantaneously or speed up suddenly). However, everyone wants to see as much as they can, they've paid their admission, hotel, souvenirs, food/snacks, car rental (for some) bills and they want to get the most for their $....but hurting someone else while doing that is not acceptable. Be polite, aware of your surroundings, courteous, and everyone will be in a better mood at days end!

My other favorite thing is when they let the 3 year old push the empty stroller! I love that, especially in a big crowd. Although I must admit, I saw the funniest thing on Fri at Epcot two little kids were pushing their dad in the stroller and he was haning out all over the place, it was really funny. :rotfl2:

If they made stroller lanes, the next thing they'd need would be stop signals to prevent people from walking through other people's photos.

We don't need these things. We just need to have a little patience and consideration of others.

Wouldn't that be nice. I know that being at Disney can be stressful, heat, crowds, schedules, planning, money, but it really has lately gotten out of hand with people being rude and inconsiderate.

Each year when we go I try very hard to dedicate my trip to those I have personally lost in death recently. It keeps me focused on being thankful and happy and considerate of others.

Even those with strollers. :thumbsup2

How about a lane just for those people with strollers that are carrying resort mugs purchased during a previous stay after they pool hopped? ;)

Hey, why not just ban kids completely and then you wouldn't have to worry about strollers at all? Pesky little critters, anyway. :rolleyes2

Ok of all the things I could of commented on this thread, this one has to be it!! :rotfl: :) :thumbsup2 I love it! Too cute.

I think you find people in every group. I was at the local zoo a few days ago. A dad with a stroller and a few kids walking grabbed his to pull him out of the way of my stroller. The thing is he grabbed him and pulled him in by the face!!!!!!!!! The poor kid. I felt like saying "don't worry I promise I won't run him over!" I don't know if the man was worried about me hitting him, or just trying to be polite (at the expense of his poor child's face.) :guilty: :rotfl2:

Yes, most of the time I have been hit by the stroller it was my fault, and normally DH was "driving". As nice as crocs are, they don't protect your toes enough!

I keep my DH in front of me if it gets crowded so that he's the only one who gets hit. Sometimes I just have to run him down. :rolleyes1 He doesn't seem to mind the bruises on the back of his feet. :teeth: On a similar note, I can remember when I was growing up though, how my Grandpa used to get very angry when people darted in front of his wheelchair. He was a very impatient man, and we even had to take his cane away one time when we found him beating people with it from the wheelchair when they got in his way. :duck:
