We went out to Trick or Treat and it was lightly sprinkling so we figured we'd go for it. We went to about 8 houses before the heavens opened up and the kids and we adults all got absolutely soaked!!!!

So now we are home and dry and it hasn't been raining the past hour and a half and we've had a whole 10 kids trick or treat. We usually get around 250 kids. It sounds like kids are out, but no one is coming here.

My dh went overboard and bought a LOT of candy.. we did trick or treating around the house so the kids could feel like they got a bunch of candy, especially my nephews who won't have all the left over candy we will.

Sigh, after 2 years of huricanes ruining our Halloweens, this year it rains....yuck

Aw man, what a bummer!! I'm glad you were able to make the best of it. Happy Halloween!!

Ahhh...that is so disappointing for the kids. :sad2: And I am sure if RAIN was PREDICTED early on the town would have rescheduled in advance and selected another evening for the kiddos. :guilty:

This is only like the second time it has even rained in the past 2 months, and of course it had to be tonight? It was kinda overcasty all day, news said maybe a few sprinkles but that was it. Yea right.

I'm sitting here od'ing on smarties and orange jawbreakers...

We just got back from the mall and the kids got a lot of candy. It does suck that it had to rain tonight. It's better than last year though at least. We were still out of power on Halloween. :sad2:

I'm sorry your Halloween got rained out. That stinks for the kids. Did any of your malls have trick or treating? On a rainy night I imagine the malls would see a lot of traffic in trick or treaters.

I am sorry you had such bad weathe..

here is jersey it was beautiful. They first time in awhile where the kids did not have to wear jackets.

It's been drizzling off and on here. The temps were in the mid 60's today, but they are quickly falling. It's really windy and it just got more and more uncomfortable.

That stinks big time. We thought we'd get that here but it hasn't materialized yet. So it looks like we're going to get trick or treating in. We are running out of Candy here very early. But I think it's everyone coming around trying to get it in before it rains. We had snow a few years ago. That put a damper on the Tinkerbell and princess costumes.

20* and windy here. My kids went as Nanook of the North and the Abominable Snowman! :rotfl:

Here in PA, it was in the 70's! :sunny:
Well, at night for trick or treat it wasn't :sunny: but you get the picture. It was nice not having to worry about jackets over the costumes. The kids were out in droves!!

Sorry your night was yucky- better luck next year!

It was warm but very wet in our corner of PA. DD complained the bottom of her pillowcase got so wet that the paper boxes and candy wrappers were disintegrating!
