I've just watched her boarding the Presidential Plane and wondered to myself would she turn round and wave. And of course she did - What wonderful woman. I'm sure its been a very long day for her and its still not over yet :(

What wonderful woman :( :(

I was just thinking the same thing. She has more strength and grace than I can even imagine at a time like this.

I think strength and grace is required for being a first lady. I keep picturing the scenes from JFK's funeral as well and remembering how strong Jackie was. If it were my husband's funeral, I would be a basket case. It definately takes a strong woman to deal with all of this...and to make it worse, I'm sure she hasn't gotten much privacey this week.

I agree, she is a very strong woman. She is also strong physically - Not many 82 year olds could be on their feet most of the day and then climb up all of those steps.

Especially when you know her heart must be breaking every step of the way . . . :(

That made me cry when she did that. With all she's been through, and had to endure, here she is, sharing the grief of losing her husband with the world. She is truly a strong woman.
