Day Two - December 4th - Who threw this clue on me? and Magical WISHES!

For Cast of Characters see first two reports......

Our family was up early and at MK by 8:30 a.m. well in time for the 9:00 opening. I was hoping to catch the opening ceremony at MK and was surprised to find the CM's letting people into the MK. Oops, I forgot that they were taping the Christmas day parade today! As we were walking up Main Street, it was lined with people watching them prep for today's taping. It was a little cool this morning and I got a kick out of hearing the MC tell the people to "look warm" in order to make people jealous on Christmas day as they watch the parade! :earboy2:

Since we had a half hour to kill before the rope drops into the different lands, we just wandered around soaking up the atmosphere and checking out the decorations. Our mission for this morning was to Wake up Tink! I didn't really talk about waking up Tink too much in front of my DD, the Tink Lover, as I did not want to disappoint her if it didn't work out. I was hoping for some pixie dust that it would all come together though and thankfully it did! :wizard:

As soon as the rope dropped my husband was off to Tinker Bell's Treasures with us hot on his heels. We all made it there in no time and thankfully no one had asked to wake up Tink yet. My daughter was over the moon about waking up Tink and after she did she got a magical moments certificate for doing this. My oldest DD, the Lizzy lover, was very good about her sister having a special moment and she made me very proud. I knew deep down that she was hoping for something magical for her to do as well and I thought to myself, "Well, in about an hour, you'll be having a magical moment on a scavenger hunt!"

You see, I had arranged for a scavenger hunt with Gifts of a Lifetime for my dd's and my parents. We were to meet at the Wishing Well at 10:00 sharp. Well, we had about 45 minutes to kill so we were off to do a few rides. We squeezed in Peter Pan, BTMRR and saw Mickey's Philharmagic before it was time for the scavenger hunt.

We headed over to the Wishing Well and I could see what I thought were a few pixies strategically stationed waiting for us. My parents and kids had no clue as to what was going on which was great! As an aside, they kept wondering the whole time during the scavenger hunt how the pixies new where to find us and how the clues got where they were without people taking them! Hee Hee! What fun it was! Ok, back to the story..... We get to the wishing well and there was a note addressed to my parents and my dd's asking for help to rescue their gifts (Capt. Hook had stolen them). I don't want to go into too much detail about the entire scavenger hunt since I know that Jane and her pixies like to keep the element of surprise with their special events. I will say that I got a good belly laugh at one point when we were in the Haunted Mansion. The lights had gone out in the stretching room and when they went back on, there was a clue hanging around my dad's neck! :D He was very perplexed as to how that got there! :scratchin My mom heard him mutter at one point, "I don't remember this part of the ride!", when someone threw the clue on him. LOL! We all had a great time with the scavenger hunt! It was a very memorable and special moment at the MK that morning! THANKS, GOAL! I also got to meet Brooke, who I think frequents these boards, so that was neat.

Once the hunt was over, we were all a little hungry to off we went to Columbia Harbour House. I always love eating their clam chowder and today it did not disappoint. After lunch we did the following rides/shows:
Mickey's Philharmagic, Buzz, TTA (or the Wedway people mover as I like to call it!), and the COP.

The MK was getting a little crowded at this point so we wanted to get outta Dodge! On the way out, my parents had to fix something about their APs and they ended up with two free FP's for all of us to use anytime on any ride at MK. Cool!

It was back to SOG for some rest as tonight was another special surprise! :wizard: A Wishes Cruise!!! Yipee! My dad was totally in the dark about this one as well. I had reserved a Wishes Birthday cruise with cake and decorations for this evening. The kids knew about it and we we couldn't wait to see the look on my dad's face. He loves the water and he loves Wishes so this was right up his alley.

Since Wishes wasn't showing until 10:00 and we didn't need to get to the Contemporary dock until 9:15, we grabbed at quick bite to eat at SOG and headed off to Mass at Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine.

I was a little worried about the late time for Wishes tonight and how my little Tink Lover (dd6) would hold up. She is one that loves her sleep and is not up for staying late. When I first reserved the cruise, the time for WISHES was 9:00 and that was doable. With the extended hours, that threw my plan a little but I was ready to roll with it. I was praying that Tink Lover would stay awake. We led my dad blindly to the dock and you should have seen his face when he saw the pontoon boat all decked out with balloons and a Happy Birthday banner. :boat: He was so surprised. Our captain was GREAT and we all chowed down on chocolate birthday cake with rasberry filling. YUMMY! We couldn't eat all of the cake, but we sure did try!

We cruised around to the WL (How pretty at night! ) and then watched the EWP. The EWP didn't have as many lights as usual b/c the hurricanes had damaged some of it. It was still great though. Speaking of hurricanes, we noticed a lot of downed trees during this trip and the trees around the WL had thinned out significantly. I felt so bad for everyone who endured these terrible storms and pray that the next hurricane season spares Florida.

We then cruised on over to the Seven Seas Lagoon for WISHES. One word about WISHES from this vantage point. WOW! It was AMAZING. I've seen it from inside the parks, but nothing beats sitting on the water sipping soda and eating cake and watching WISHES. Definitely worth the money! Also a big tear jerker moment watching WISHES. The sound was great too, we could hear the whole thing. After WISHES, our captain took us around the lagoon filling us in on little interesting tidbits of information. It was at this point that my little Tink Lover passed out dead asleep. Well, at least she saw WISHES and she saw Tinker Bell fly!

After the cruise, we thanked our great captain and headed back to SOG. What a magical day this was with a GOAL scavenger hunt and a WISHES cruise. We all dreamed of what tomorrow would bring. Are there anymore surprises on the horizon? Stay tuned and find out!

:boat: :wizard:

I forgot to add that we had no "Crazy Santa" incidents for today!!!

Hi Krispe,

 Waking up Tink is something you do at Tinker Bell's Treasure shop in Fantasyland. If you are one of the first people in the shop you can ask to wake up Tinker Bell. They give you a wand and you tap on a treasure box three times saying "wake up Tink!" The CM then turns the lights on that fly around the store as Tink. It is pretty cute. Next time you are in the store, look for the lights flashing around the store. That is Tink!

:flower1:
