It has been one of those weeks

Sunday afternoon we came home to find the washing machine had died and the kitchen floor was a little, shall we say moist?

We took the wet clothes out and put them in a basket to take over to my mums to complete the washing. As we shut the front door begin us, the lock broke and we had to call out an emergency locksmith to get us back in our house. As he gleefully told me "oh dear my love, most expensive time to call us out, a Sunday night". Well, thanks ;) like I had a choice :teeth:

We had had an extended power cut on Saturday night too so I was hoping that was the proverbial "bad things happen in threes" covered off.

However tonight Number 3 happened :teeth: when the new washing machine arrived (I only ordered it on Sunday late so was really pleased we could get it so quickly). It seems there is a problem with my plumbing, which meant Mr Comet could not fit the new machine. So, we had a lovely sparkling machine..... in the garage. Very luckily my step dad was able to sort of sort it out ;) though we have had no water for hours (except all over the kitchen floor again ;)

I don't think I have had such an expensive week for ages - and it was all on things which just are not fun at all ;)

I cant really top that but we just bought Madagascar on dvd and our dvd player just died

Karen and Jodie ~ hope things improve for you both.

On the bright side it is nearly time for Santa :)

Oh dear girls - these things always wait 'til Christmas time when money is tight!

:wizard: Pixie dust for no more electrical (or locksmith) problems

:grouphug: Lots of hugs coming your way Karen & Jodie :wizard: Here's some Pixie Dust to bring you some better luck

Wow Karen. Feel guilty that I've been moaning that PC has been down for the last 2 days.

Seems to be at this time of year that things go wrong

Oh dear - hope it's all up and working again soon.

Years ago our main car "died" the week before we were going on holiday to France. It was meant to be a really cheap holiday but the £1,000 it cost to repair it, made it very expensive.

My commiserations for you :grouphug:

Our kettle blew up last night and until I rushed out to buy a new one today, we had to make cups of tea in the microwave. :sad2:

Oh Dear Karen!!! I find things like that VERY stressful. Don't these things always come at the wrong time!! :guilty:

Keep smiling!! :teeth:

ps. Good news about your holiday in Feb, you'll have a great time. :)
