I recently reconnected with two of my friends from high school thanks to Facebook. They were twin sisters Sherry and Sandy I took Sherry to our senior prom almost not being able to attend due to an nasty accident but, the doctors agreed to let me attend but I had to return the following day for surgery.
Anyway, while sending an email to Sandy I let her know that my family were DVC members at Saratoga Springs Resort I get an email back from her saying she too is a DVC member at Saratoga Springs Resort!!
I couldn't get over it after all these years we connect and here we're both DVC members at the same home resort she told me they bought in a few years back about the same time we bought ours. She then tells me her family along with Sherry's family always go down together I let her know our next trip was planned for 2012 and that we should all try to go at the same time so that all our families can meet and enjoy Disney World together.
It really is a small world after all!!!

Isn't it cool the way we can drift apart and actually be so close together without knowing it? Hope you all can meet up on your trip. Sounds like a fun time!

That's really quite a coincidence. Here's a word of warning, however.

My wife loves WDW. We typically have APs and fly down as often as we can. It's great to get awawy to Disney even if just for a few days.

A few years ago, my sister and brother-in-law moved to central Florida. We love them dearly and they also love WDW. However, Cathy does not really enjoy sharing our trips to WDW with others. For her, it kinda makes our quick trips to WDW to be a little bit of work. I know that she wouldn't be ecstatic about sharing our vacation with the family of one of my ex-girlfriends.

As a wife- I wouldn't want to spend my vacation with my husbands old prom date.

Tread lightly.

We moved to Indiana 12 years ago, about 250 miles from our home town. In our neighborhood, during Halloween, hubby was outside handing out candy and I had the boys trick or treating. It seems a guy he graduated with, lived in the neighborhood. Their dads used to work together and I think they both moved from Kentucky also.

His oldest daughter went to school with our oldest, etc. We always got the biggest kick out of that.

That reminded me of something that happened when I was in high school. I became friends with a guy, and we started hanging out a lot (strictly friends). I can't remember how we met, but the school was very large. Turns out we lived on the same street and both had friends back in neighboring small, rural towns where our families had come from and talked about it..

After we had been friends for a couple of months, our phone rang one afternoon, and a woman asked for my dad (which was very odd in and of itself ). He answered, and the woman talked for a minute, and he started laughing. It turned out that the woman was my friend's mother, and she had figured out through hearing him talk about me who I must be. She and my dad were cousins (a couple of times removed) and had grown up together. What were the odds that we would wind up on the same street just a few houses apart?

My wife has no worries, Sherry is married to another classmate of mine and they've been married 29 years..

It is a small world. We live 1200 miles from Disney and it seems we always see someone we know down there. Last trip it was one of DH's classmates from the police academy.
