What a plan! Simple, yet insane. **New 4/19 Link to new PTR**

:goodvibes Yes, our trips will overlap that long!

I forgot to post about something yesterday. You said you listen to music when you are cleaning. I also listen to Taylor Swift when I am cleaning, I listen to Pink too, and now Lady Antebellum :thumbsup2. I do this when Bill is not around, he is not that much of a country fan :rotfl: even though he did take me to see Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, and TimMcGraw and Faith Hill.

I have Lady A on my playlist also!! :thumbsup2 I will have to throw some Pink on there too!

I loved seeing Rascal Flatts, would do it again in a heartbeat!! We saw Taylor Swift when she opened for them too actually...

Disney message boards seem to bring people together from all over the world. As many of us do, I read a lot of trip reports. At one point I was reading a TR from a woman named Amber that had went on a Wish trip for her son Sebastian. Along for the trip were his sisters Siennah and Savannah, and her husband Brian. I along with many others read the adventures of this gorgeous family. She had to stop her TR since Savannah, their youngest was having all sorts of medical issues. She posted her blog link if any of us wanted to follow along.

I found myself checking the blog frequently to see how she and her family were doing. It was heartbreaking to read about sweet Savannah's issues. The entire family is just beautiful and so caring with one another. Amber is a photographer, she lets her pictures tell the story, the good and the bad. It is like you are right there with her.

Recently she decided to make a slideshow video about Savannah's little life. It was heartbreaking and hopeful. It was agonizing and encouraging. She made slideshow video's of the other children as well and they were all beautifully made. Savannah's was very touching to me. Savannah has Mitochondrial disease.

Amber posted a slideshow video about Mitochondrial Disease Awareness today on facebook and asked us to repost it in our status. I wanted to take it a step further and repost it here.

PLEASE take a few minutes to watch it. Here is the LINK. These are just some of the faces of Mitochondrial Disease. There are thousands more out there...all of them need our help.

What a great idea, shopping and ice cream for lunch!! I love it. Thanks for posting! Bill can't wait to try Ghiradelli's.

We also had dole whips for lunch another day. It's not that I'm trying to be the cool aunt, more like I am still a kid myself (despite what my driver's license may say)! :rotfl:

Actually how I sorta got interested in your last report was that I was bringing my nieces and doing all sorts of stuff for them so I wanted to read about other DISers who were doing similar things- and then I got all caught up in wondering how Christian and Hannah would react that I couldn't stop reading even when my trip was over.

Today I realized that I've never been happier than when I was planning to share WDW with the girls... so I think they may just have to endure another trip to WDW next yr or the yr after. Such a hardship to be them. :rotfl2: And since I sorta want to check out the new Disney Dream cruise ship, they may even have to take a cruise too (if finances allow)... ;)

Anyway can't wait to hear/see what you think of Boardwalk. It's really a cool place to stay. And I need to live vicariously though others until I can get back to WDW myself.

Thanks for sharing that video link Tracy... it was very moving. I'm a little familiar with mitochondrial disease because of Alex's autism & GI issues. Fortunately we don't think he has it, but the subject has come up from time to time. I feel for those families who are living with the disease.

Tracy,

I'm not on FB so I couldn't watch the video, but I wanted to say how lovely it is that you are spreading awareness and compassion for kids like Sebastian. They deal with so many difficulties every day and yet manage to be sweet and lovable children despite all their suffering.

I remember that TR well...

I made the link go directly to Onetruemedia not FB, did the link not work? I am sorry I made that unclear. It is actually Sebastian's little sister Savannah that has Mito, she is so tiny even though she is about 19 months old. Amber and Brian are amazing parents, they have great kids. I had never heard of that disease until Savannah.

Tracy...

The link brought me to Facebook... Of course, I have Facebook, so it should be fine for me... I am going to grab a snack and I will watch it in a bit before my next round of meds... :goodvibes

Thanks for letting me know that. I changed the link in my orginal post and I am posting it again here. If someone could try that link and let me know whether it goes directly to Onetruemedia or not I would really appreciate it.

Toni, you have facebook? Are you one of those people that send gifts to people all the time :rotfl:.

I hope it doesn't make anyone mad but I always click "ignore application" or whatever it is and "hide" those types of notifications.

I do that too!!! And it's always the same people sending me all of these gifts!!! One of my friends even called me one day and asked me why I always ignored gifts and I told her to stop sending them!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!! :rotfl2:

I swear we have to be related!! It took me forever to talk Bill into signing up for Facebook, then about 50 people from high school flooded him with friend requests :rotfl: he couldn't believe it.

As for that video, it can be very heavy and sad. Savannah is the little girl with a pink headband with a pink flower. Amber is in a couple pictures with her, she has blond hair.

My Mom has Facebook and my Dad always thought it was dumb, well after a ton of their friends from high school and just ones they lost touch with a long time ago sent her friends requests, he now thinks it's cool and has HER profile set up on his Iphone, so you really never know who you are actually talking to!! Irritates my Mom to no end...

I think I may wait until tomorrow and I am not drugged up to watch the video... I am a little loopy and drowsy on my meds and would like to give it my full attention...

That is hilarious about your parents. I couldn't imagine either of Bill's parents ever doing FB, we were amazed when his dad started emailing him. They think it is nuts that I am on the DIS or any where else talking about Disney.

My FB has mostly Enchanters and DISers and some friends from around here. More Disney people then anything :rotfl:.

I have Adrienne(Porturican) on my Facebook and my Mom called me one day and asked me who she was... I told her one of my Disney friends, then she called me a dork... :rotfl:

I actually have my Mom, Step Mom and Biological Dad on Facebook... Plus grandma and grandpa... Lots of aunts, uncles and cousins... It's like a big ol' family reunion...

I was able to use the new link; thanks!

Such a bittersweet video, but its true... most people have never heard of mitochondrial disease.

I thank God every day for my childrens' health.

BTW, I caught a bit of Monsters, Inc, on TV the other day... I laughed and thought of you when Mike said the "simple, yet insane" line.

Kathy

thanks tracy for the link

You are very welcome. I pray for this family daily, they deal with so many issues every single day.

Kathy

I thank God every day people in my family are healthy as well. Thanks for watching it.

I love Monsters, Inc. I really liked that line, but my favorite is:

"C'mon, fight that plaque! Fight that plaque! Scary monsters don't have plaque!"

For some reason I giggle every time I hear that line :rotfl:.

I can't even believe that the October hours are out on WDW's website :banana::banana:, I am amazed. I think I have the October itinerary how I want it now.

I am so jealous!!! I want December hours to be up!!! I am hoping they are up early too since I make my ADR's on June 1st... So if they threw them, up a few days before that, I would be stoked...
