What a night!!

Not sure I'll make it here all day at work...barely slept. Winnie, our bulldog, was up barking with her ears back as if she could hear something we couldn't for over an hour. At first I thought TORNADO and turned on the tv...nothing. DH checked the CM detectors, fine..earthquake coming? Not so far. NO CLUE what she was sensing but it was making her so anxious. Even when she fell asleep I couldn't sleep worrying about what was going on. I didn't feel well last night , add no sleep and RAIN to the mix and I'm a mess. Going to take Aleve now. NEED COFFEE!

I have an English Bulldog and he is deaf as can be now(12 years old) But he too was acting strange last night(as was Lola the lab) I think they sense the weather and can get freaked. It was pretty windy here so I think that is what was scaring my dogs. Can you take a nap at some point?

Your dog sensed something amiss and wanted to protect you from whatever it was, maybe another animal outside, a strange continuous car noise or even a prowler - animals are incredible that way but you'll probably never know for sure.
If she doesn't usually have a habit of nocturnal non-stop barking...give her a biscuit & say "good dog".

And have another cup of java .

Aren't bullies the best??
Rain and even thunder usually doesn't bother her, but maybe now it does. I was worried she didn't feel well, but she seems fine this morning.

Maybe at lunch I'll nap at my desk.
