For the first few days of Spring Break, we took a trip to Universal Studios, our first trip there. But I couldn't leave Orlando without at stop at WDW for at least one day! So one day it was since I had 2 passes. On our last trip we just couldn't get there on our last day. Thank goodness they sent freebies for a day! We spent yesterday at WDW
(Mom is happy now, she got her WDW fix!) It was HOT, the lines were LONG, but it was worth every minute. Since the line to XS was short, we went in there. My 8 year old's eyes are still bugged out! Sheesh...nothing frightens this kid, but this did it. I didn't care for the monster breathing down my neck either I might add. But the rest was terrific. It was our first time on Space Mountain. We must have hit it just right the first time because we walked right up without any stopping in lines. But on our second ride those lines were going on forever! Now, I'm a person who never in her life rode a roller coaster until a year ago because my son wanted to. I'm proud to say that I have graduated from the baby roller coasters to Space Mountain! I loved the ride, but it did do a number on my stomach when I got off. GREAT ride though! The highlight of our day. DS would have gone on 10 times if I'd let him.
Since we were they only one day, Magic Kingdom was the only park we visited. But it ended up being plenty with all the walking and waiting. The lines moved quickly. In the late afternoon, DS wanted to go for a swim at the pool. We headed back 5ish I think. When we got to the hotel I told him we would have to flip a coin. Winner of 2 out of 3 gets their choice. By this time I was ready to give in because my feet hurt! But I wasn't going to admit that. DS tossed the coin and won the first round. I tossed the coin and he won again! (Hmmm...it shouldn't work like this, right?) But inside I was actually glad. So we took off for the pool where he turned into a fish for the following 2 hours. Then a quick dinner and we both zonked out in the room watching TV. That hot sun certainly takes the energy out of you! A GREAT day...only wish it could have been longer. But it's back to work tomorrow.
DISNEY, TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
