No need to respond. Just felt like a mini-vent.
I had a rather hectic day yesterday. VERY long story short, the business I am working for is undergoing some changes. They are letting the consultant go. She has a buttload of experience and is a joy to work with. But they were having to pay her a considerable amount and they just couldn't afford her anymore. They cut her hours back so much that there really wasn't any point in her being there anymore.
She was a little unhappy because she was WAY overqualified for some of the things she was being asked to do, and I understood. It would have made more sense for me to do some of the duties. Well anyway, the manager came and talked to me yesterday for a minute and told me Moe (the owner) wanted me to cut 1 hour off my daily schedule. No problem, not a big deal. But I got a little worried thinking maybe I was next.
Well Moe came in and talked to me a little later. I got this horrible feeling in my stomach dreading what was coming, along with a hellacious headache. Well it turned out to be nothing to worry about. I am just going to take on a lot of the things the consultant was doing. No problem. That settled, I took a deep breath and went to work.
Well I had that durned ole headache all day and into the night. Nothing would help it. You know, I have zero documented anxiety, but situations like that just stress me, and give me a headache. The only thing that relieves it is a good night's sleep, which I thankfully got last night.
Ahhhhhh, I feel so much better this morning. A new day
