Full trip reporting coming soon, but for now I’ll say this:
as a Disney World lifer, i really enjoyed Disneyland. We went on 12/30 and 12/31 and were nervous about seeing and doing things. Having done WDW for Christmas week and NyE the past 10 years, we knew what to expect, but we’re still nervous.
quick hits:
- maxpass is 100% worth it. My anxiety kicked in the moment we got into the park, but within 2 hours we’d been on Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Alice in Wonderland, Jungle Cruise, Mr. Toad, and Haunted Mansion; then stacked RSR, Incredicoaster and Toy Story Midway.
- we did the park hopper but didn’t NEED it. We could have gotten everything done. It was nice to go back the morning of 12/31 and casually stroll DL before heading to DCA.
- most people went to DCA on 12/30 and DL on 12/31. As a result, we never faced crazy crowds
- if the new Epcot show is anything like World of Color, WDW fans are in for a serious treat.
