What’s up with sold out wdw hotels

I'm looking at a few nights the third week of september, and there's zero availability unless I want to spend $400+/night or stay at a campsite. I guess we'll be staying at Universal this year, since it's a split trip anyhow, but it feels sad.

Same here. I wanted Beach Club but its not available so we are staying at our favorite value, PoP. I would rather look at anything other than these for walls at my house:) Im just going to be glad to be in my happy place!

I’m hearing the Polynesian is pretty much booked up through Aug and Sept. is this true?

Pretty much, from everything I’ve anecdotally seen. Brand new rooms at an extremely popular resort, not surprised at all if it’s true.
Plus pent up demand from it being closed on the resort side until late July 2021. Even though DVC has been open, many non-DVC guests who would have normally been willing to book at the DVC side have been waiting for the construction to end.

Definitely. I only swung by there to eat and walk around a couple of times last week and am glad I opted to not stay in the DVC rooms. It just feels weird there right now.
