What’s up with Mondays?

We’ll be visiting on a Sunday and Monday as those are the only 2 days during our time frame that there isn’t a grad night going on while we’re there. Ah well, it’s our first visit so it will still be wonderful! We’ve been to WDW the week before Christmas, on spring break, and early summer, so hopefully it can’t be much worse than those, lol.
I wouldn't be to afraid of grad nights. I was there for 4 days(Saturday thru Tuesday) in May 2018 and there were 2 grad nights when I was there. The Monday I was there by far the busiest day.
The grad nights I didn't really notice anything- I didn't even see a lot of kids. I think most of the grad night kids are in DCA so I would avoid DCA in the evening on Grad nights but not the parks.

Do you find California Adventure is just as busy on mondays or is it just Disneyland?
They’re both busy.

As others have mentioned, one of the main issues with Monday is that the perception is that they’ll be light, and then they’re usually not - also, Mondays are usually shorter hours, less staffing, less entertainment offerings, etc. compared to the weekends. So even if a Monday actually has less people than a Saturday, it can “feel” more crowded, especially to people who were expecting light crowds (which, honestly, no one should ever expect at this point)...

We go on a fair number of Mondays (we are headed there after school today), and they’re not as good as Wednesday/Thursday (usually the best days IMO), but the crowds are usually not terrible. They’re just unexpected for a lot of people.
