What’s going on with CCV?

We have been eyeing a CCV reservation for January with SAP but it seems to be booked virtually solid from now until January 11th (8+m), including the cabins which are usually always available at the 7+m mark. I know that it’s really popular around the holidays through the marathon, but is there something more going on here?

We were hoping to rent a cabin and thought it would have been relatively easy to do so, but I guess not!

The beginning of January 2023 is a marathon week I believe, no way anyone is getting anything unless it is at the 11 month mark.

Only way would be if DVC used the points they own there to take rooms out at 11 months to hold for potential BRV moves if renovation impacts stays. But, it still requires 11 month priority and it sounds like just a lot of CCV owners with excess points booking up!

Ah, okay.

I wasn't sure with all the crazy amounts of renovations always going on at BRV. I mean...with so much refurbishment at BRV, and all the high priority resources being dedicated to it, I thought it might be impacting everything across all of the WDW resorts.

The most popular time for the Lodge is when it is decorated for Christmas - this runs mid Nov through marathon

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised holiday decorations are still up through the marathon, but I always forget.

Maybe BRV are gonna finally see that refurb towards the end of the year (October thru Feb). Rooms are just not available. Maybe they have reserved some CCV inventory for BRV stays? I am not sure how they usually handle room inventory during refurbs.
