It looks like you've chosen a great week to visit. DH & I are going the opposite direction. We're leaving South Florida on Tues. or Wed. to visit DS & extended family in North Carolina for three weeks. Crazy, I know.

Here it is 8:12 pm & I still don't have a clue what I'm making for dinner. DH didn't want to go to the grocery store, so I'm going to have to throw something together from what we have here. I'll update, when I finally get it together.

Quoting myself to update. I ended up pulling some chicken soup out of the freezer & added No Yolk egg noodles. DH will have crackers with his.

Tonight will be fish, rice, stir fried green beans, and dumplings to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

When we got to the airport our flight got delayed an hour, so DH and I had a drink an apps at the bar- calamari and meatballs. They were both really good.
It was the worst travel day EVER!
Our flight ended up being delayed 2 hours due to thunderstorms around Orlando. Who wouldn’t thought!?? That usually happens in summer. We didn’t end up landing until 12:20 am.
As we were walking by the other SW gates we saw 2 planes that were delayed in Orlando for 5 and 6 hours!!! OMG I felt so lucky at that point. Those poor people. And if that wasn’t enough the trams at MCO are not running. They have you walk outside past the trams and down these ramps to shuttle busses waiting to bring you to the other side of terminal. That took like an extra half hour. It’s now just about 1:00 and I am spent! By the time our uber got there we didn’t get to our condo until just about 2. I don’t even feel like going to Epcot today but DH wants to go to our Geo-82 ressie.
We’ll see how the day goes. I’ll be in bed very early tonight!

That's great! Your post made me glad we're driving on Wednesday! Here's a weird story: My SIL was over yesterday to watch the Daytona 500 and said she and her best friend were leaving today for a spontaneous road trip to someplace called Staunton, VA (her friend chose the location). We told her that's where we're staying on Wednesday! We found out she's going to be at the Hilton in the same parking lot as our hotel. We're meeting her for dinner now on Wednesday night in Staunton. Such an odd coincidence!

Last January we were delayed 8 hours going from MCO home. It was a miserable day!!
This year, again in January, it was 1 3/4 hours.
On the departure board, at least 3/4 of the flights were delayed.

We love GEO-82. I hope it makes up for what you went through yesterday.

A word about the storms . . . Most of the country sees a rise in severe storms in the spring, but here we tend to get them (if we are going to) in February. There have been many years where we have had tornadoes go through during a February night. Also, since the storms are front related, they can hang around a lot longer than our summer sea breeze storms. That front was moving kind of slow yesterday, but I have seen some that lasted all day. Sorry your travel day was so stressful!

Back on topic, I think it’s going to be a grilled ham and cheese with a side of tomato soup today for dinner.
