What’s for Dinner Tonight?

turkey.....maybe????? bought a 'from freezer to oven in 5 minutes' whole frozen turkey on a crazy sale several months ago. I dunno-seems crazy that I can just cut some slits in this baggie thing and pop this rock solid frozen bird in for 4 hours but we shall see.

if all else fails-there's frozen french bread pizza :thumbsup2

I'm curious to know how it turns out.

the final verdict-

I would not buy again (can't imagine paying the $3 per pound regular price/I got for $1 per pound when I bought it). I will say it's easy to cook (done in 3 1/2 vs the 4 hours it estimated) but like many reviews I read-it does not cook up looking like a lovely browned roasted turkey and is a bit tough. seasoning is nice though and it worked well for a quickish dinner, will work for some leftovers the next few days.

Sorry it wasn't a hit. Thanks for the feedback, so we'll know not to try it.

Can report back on how it turns out? I’m curious! I’ve seen ads for it but haven’t seen one at a grocery store near me.

Edit: sorry I didn’t see you already replied. Bummer! I was hopeful it would be yummy.

Went out to lunch with some girlfriends and ate lunch outside at one of our favorite restaurants. Gorgeous day! They serve super fresh salads,
So I loaded up with veggies and had grilled salmon added. Yummy lemon vinaigrette on the side. 🍋🥗🐟

Soooo no dinner for me. I’ll probably make up a smoothie around 6-7pm, so that my tummy isn’t grumbling when I go to bed. 🛌

Happy Saturday, y’all!

So, how do you make goulash? Based on the fact that you served cauliflower rice with it, I'm guessing it's not what I call goulash.
I recently found out there are many variations on goulash: made with small pasta and/or potatoes; ground or stewing beef; with or without veggies 😎.
Growing up in NYC, I made the Jewish deli style which is closer to the Hungarian version: sautéed onions, red peppers and sweet paprika and caraway seeds followed by stewing beef braised in broth with carrot chunks and one tomato for every lb of meat.
If the Man was still around, he’d think I lost my little mind serving it with cauliflower rice instead of egg noodles but when the cat’s away….🤣

D.,my weekday home attendant, is on a diet so no pasta for her. Which means I’m still eating frozen stuffed shells, lol.
Decided to make a white cheese instead of red sauce since most of the ingredients were already in the fridge. Added some mushrooms, peas and chopped ham to it. Nice variation but won’t say I’ll remember for later. When this batch of shells is finished it’ll be a longggg time before I make any again ( two servings to go and I am counting!) 😉
