What’s for Dinner Tonight?

How do you keep the quiche from sticking to the pan? My favorite quiche currently is ham/leek/asparagus with some form of swiss, depending on what's in the cheese drawer (I know, calling Gruyere "swiss" is almost sacrilege...)

The BLT was different... it had a bacon/tomato jam on it and the turkey was delicious. I almost went over this afternoon for lunch, it was so

My concession to modernity: can of spray oil. Takes at least a year for me to use it up but sometimes I have to get the evil thoughts out of my head
Don’t forget to lower the baking temperature by 25 degrees if using Pyrex

I’m sorry to hear so many had Verizon problems yesterday. Wasn’t online much but when I was it worked . Sounds like it was a regional problem but glad it’s over

It’s going to get unseasonably cold in Florida tonight (below freezing where I am ) so I am planning to make a pot of chili that will last 2-3 days.

YEah, it's gonna be 34F overnight here in Disney. It's supposed to be 27 overnight at home today (northern Maine). Doesn't seem fair to come so far south for decent weather in January only to have the temps be similar!

No clue what we're having or what DW will want. We have pigs in a blanket on the menu board, and we have that stuff in the fridge. But we will see how DW feels when she gets home from work. Might also do breakfast foods as we have eggs and breakfast sausage and bread to make toast.

Yea, and you have those people on Facebook that ask in November whats the temperature like in mid January at Disney. Or what should I wear in mid January. I always tell them to start checking local news stations about 10 days out. No way to know 2 months ahead. Heck, no way to know 2 days ahead sometimes.

I didn’t get out of work until 5:30 so I grabbed a pizza. I’m really excited I don’t have to cook now.

I have no idea. Not motivated! My husband is actually wiping down the inside of the kitchen refrigerator. My look of shock…that he’s actually doing that. Hahaha.

I have no idea. Not motivated! My husband is actually wiping down the inside of the kitchen refrigerator. My look of shock…that he’s actually doing that. Hahaha.

Had a convo with DGD recently and she was singing her Oompah’s praises wondering if she’d ever find anyone as good. Had to put the phone on mute…..gigglesnort .

D. walked into the house and I’d already gone through several fridge shelves and placed the goods on the counter, removing all the remaining leftovers that would/could fit into one dish: chives, parsley, a head of butter leaf lettuce, the veggie and beef remains of the prime rib pho, some bean sprouts and roasted asparagus. She gave me the evil eye but I assured her it was better to get rid of as much as possible plus she could see in the fridge better, lol.

Took some frozen corn, edamame and soup dumplings out of the freezer and ultimately combined all to make an Asian style soup for dinner. We ate it with homemade scallion pancakes since they’re easy and I wanted to see if I could make them for the Lunar New Year. Came out pretty well but doubt if I’ll do it anytime soon again.
