What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Unstuffed pepper bowls for dinner after watching the Pats. Also tonight I'm making Disney cookie stroll cookies for our family holiday gathering tomorrow - Hazelnut Linzer cookie, Cinnamon Spiced Chocolate Crinkle cookie and Ginger-Molasses cookie with cream cheese icing. I'll post pics if they come out okay. If I can't go to the cookie stroll, I'll bring it to me.

Looks like smoked turkey legs… call it a make up of the missed legs from EPCOT since someone in my party was demanding a turkey leg but we were too far.

smoked turkey makes the BEST pizza. when dh does one up some is squirrelled away into freezer bags for future pizza nights

It’s a cold and snowy day here. The house is just about back to normal after the holiday open house yesterday.

Tonight I'm making one pot chicken and rice with broccoli. We a bunch of leftover dessert from yesterday so DH can have one later.

Snowed this morning which might explain why 2 hours were spent picking up dates and vitamin D . Was able to bake the hermits but as cookies not bars as well as the pfeffernuse. Decided chocolate was needed so am in the process of making chocolate turtle cookies. The Linzer cookie and cardamom orange tea cookie doughs are resting in the fridge and hopefully will be finished baking tomorrow. Really want to get them to FedEx early this week.

Tonight had a bowl of Texas red chili topped with avocado with a bottle of Modelo beer on the side. Another clementine bit the dust.

Quoting myself, because we had a change of plans. I forgot that we have Caesar salad mix that needs to be eaten. So, our new plan is chicken, Caesar salad. DH will have rolls with his.

I'm behind here... Can't remember what Thursday supper was. I had my 2nd cataract surgery on Thursday, and as they gave me Versed before the surgery, I basically didn't care what supper was, hahaha! DH went to Sam's on Thursday, so Friday ngith we had rotisserie chicken, instant mashed potatoes, and salad. Saturday was supposed to be Sam's chicken pot pie (the Little Guy stayed over and he loves this) but DD and I were out Christmas shopping and DH didn't think to start the pot pie. By the time I got home and could get things started, dinner wouldn't have been ready until almost 8... too late. Instead we had leftover rotisserie chicken with noodle roni parmesan noodles and peas. LG loved it- he's easy to feed and ate like a truck driver!

Today I made french onion soup. It's SO good.. but DH will the "saluting" my efforts for the rest of the evening, hahaha. Maybe not... he took TWO Beanos so he could have as much soup as he wanted. He also had a grilled cheese sandwich on German pumpernickel bread and I had a green salad with lemon-honey vinaigrette. (lemaigrette? as no vinegar was involved?).

Tomorrow night we'll have the pot pie; I sent half of it home with DD today as they are HUGE and there is no way we would eat the entire pie before the end of the week!

We had McDonald's tonight. I had a spicy deluxe McCrispy sandwich with fries and my boyfriend had a double quarter pounder with cheese and a side of fries.

Last night I made 3 dozen beef enchiladas. Dinner + leftovers.

*Of course I forget that 2 of us won't be home as we have a high school football banquet tonight.

Going to my parents to celebrate Christmas with my brother's family. Mom ordered a couple antipastos and she made eggplant parmesan and chicken pot pie. I'm bringing my cookie stroll cookies - three kinds: Cinnamon-spiced chocolate crinkle cookie, Hazelnut Linzer cookie with Raspberry Jam and Ginger-Molasses Cookies with Cream Cheese icing. They came out pretty good and I got to use my Mickey cookie cutter!
