What’s for Dinner Tonight?

We've been trying to clean out the fridge and freezer. So far in the past week or so we have had teriyaki tacos, pulled pork with mac and cheese and pulled pork sandwiches with sweet potato fries, pasta, chicken cutlets with rice one night and sandwiches another, steaks with mashed potatoes, pasta and texas toast (DH had his with jarred sauce and meatballs, I prefer mine with just a bit of butter). DH has also been eating the dribs and drabs of different pasta shapes hanging out in our cabinet. We've been doing pretty well eating leftovers for lunch at work or re-worked for a second dinner another night.

Sorry, life's been crazy since starting at a new school for both DH and myself as well as trying to find a new home.

Sunday night was steak, mashed potatoes, and cornbread rolls.
Last night was sweet and sour chicken and rice
Tonight is bacon cheeseburgers and chips.
Best of luck on the house search!

We went to Orono Brewing. Wednesday is burger night, where for $15 you get a giant cheeseburger, fries, and a pint of their beer. It was pretty good, and for $33 we had dinner out for two. Unfortunately, our favorite microbrewery in town is no longer in business (renovation/upgrades with a new investor led to a major falling out) so we are "stuck" with only 2 microbreweries within walking distance of our house, hahaha.

Tonight will be leftovers. I have meatloaf and creamy Tuscan chickpea soup, which is a seriously good soup even if I did tweak it a bit (used sweet sausage but then added some Crystal hot sauce, also added some smoked paprika). I served it over rice. Another change I'd make next time is to double the liquids... there isn't enough broth for us!!

Tonight is Taco Thursday. We use the soft warps for our tacos and not the hard corn shells. The usual fixins: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, taco sauce, spicy guac, chopped red onion, lime, shredded cheese. I may even wash it down with one of the local breweries light IPA's.

Salad night......we are finally headed out the the 100 degree days. Another week and it should be 90s for awhile.

Tonight Chef Salad.....with ham and turkey, cheddar, tomatoes and cucumbers
Only a matter of time before the risk for sn*w occurs…
