Store assembled chicken kabobs tonight, grilled. It's gotta be quick and easy so I can tend to the yard work before the sun sets and before I leave for my road trip.

We met friends at Epcot last night. We just ate at Regal Eagle. I had the BBQ burger with Mac & cheese. The burger was just ok I didn’t like the Mac & cheese . DH had the pulled pork with onion rings. He said he was starving so he ate it all. It looked better than mine.

We found the quality at Regal Eagle wasn't as good the last time we went too.

I was planning on sloppy joes but DS-29 is home for dinner tonight and he doesn't care for them (who doesn't like sloppy joes?) so we're having taco salads instead.

Well...I was told there would be a retirement luncheon planned for me...that was three years ago, any day now I'm sure. Haha!

Today was amazing. Weather was beautiful! We took the first ferry to Block Island this morning and we are headed back now. We had lunch there. I had lobster bisque and fish and chips.

Today was a tomato buying extravaganza at the farmers’ market. Bought about 8 lbs of different varieties and used them to make tomato confit (slow and low tomatoes braised in olive oil) and a sauce made from fresh fruit with only butter and halved onions. I’ve made the sauce in the past using imported canned tomatoes with great success but tried using fresh this time. Think I may have to add something to it but will wait until a mellower taste develops tomorrow to be sure.

Dinner was a cod filet pan sautéed with olives and leeks and a cup of defrosted broccoli purée soup. A mini peach cobbler with cream for dessert.
