Smart you!I don't usually have buttermilk on hand so i just add a tablespoon of vinegar to regular milk.
Just a heads up. Any kind of dairy with tang will do: plain yogurt, sour cream, crème fraiche, quark cheese; great way to use up leftovers.

We really enjoyed Geo 82Another day, after cocktails and appetizers at Geo 82, we ohhed and ahhed over the fireworks and then walked over to Cake Bake for dinner.
I love cauliflower but it would be hard to get past the color of that soup. Haha

Your meals sound delicious. We were invited to a NASCAR race in Loudon in a corporate suite one time a few years ago. It's amazing! Have a great time at the game. My sons are going to be there too (but in the cheap seats, lol).Last night's dinner was phenomenal! Perfectly grilled (medium rare) filet mignon and Maine lobster meat with warm butter, steamed white rice and cut green beans
Tonight, I'll grill some butcher shop Delmonico/Rib Eye steaks, pan steamed French green beans with chopped garlic and vegetarian soy sauce (far less sodium). Add steamed rice for our son.
Friday we'll eat out. We were invited to the New England Patriots preseason game at Gillette Stadium. Our tickets are in a company sponsored suite that includes food and drinks. If you've never experienced a sporting event in a luxury suite with ALL the fixins, DO IT!! Their typical spread includes sirloin tips, various starches, sushi, various chicken options, apps, desserts and of course beer/wine/liquor/mixed drinks/soda/water
Saturday will be another dinner out. We're doing a movie and dinner with some friends.
We were in box seats New Year’s Eve 2 years ago for the Bruins. So fun! We also saw the Providence Bruins ( farm team) in corporate box seats but not as fun.Last night's dinner was phenomenal! It wasn't. I don't recommend trying the SE Grocers brand. Together we forced down about 5 bites. The rest went down the garbage disposal.Sounds yummy!
Too bad but good to know!It wasn't. I don't recommend trying the SE Grocers brand. Together we forced down about 5 bites. The rest went down the garbage disposal.
Thanks for the reminder. We haven't had roasted beets in forever. I'm add that to list to make in the next couple days.We had spiced salmon tonight with the mashed cauliflower that we were supposed to have last night (we had roasted beets last night instead). We also had fresh zucchini from our garden.
That's impressive, especially considering your ankle is acting up. Cooking must have been a good distraction. Hope you feel better!I made a quiche. Bacon, onion, red pepper with gouda and swiss cheeses. Even made the crust from scratch. It was pretty darned good!
