What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Went to an Indian restaurant last night and we all came back with lots of leftovers, so that’s dinner tonight. I got the most amazing tandoori chicken. It was so good, and I’ll be eating it again tonight.

Busy day ....again. 6 of the family are going to a movie and it won't be over until 4. Then I have 1 grand child that will be with us for another 1/2 hour or so.
So fast we go.....hot dogs rolled in flour tortilla and baked and air fryer sweet potato fries.

There's a new(ish) Thai restaurant here that DS has been wanting to try. We're working around his house, so we ordered takeout for later. We ordered Satay chicken appetizer & Shrimp Springs Rolls to share. For entrees, DS ordered Chicken Panang Curry. DH & I ordered Chicken Pad Thai w/ added mixed vegetables to share. I say ordered, because the guy taking the order seemed very confused. We'll see what we actually get, when it's time to pick it up.

Tonight we are grilling, ribeye for DH, tuna for me with corn, and cucumber tomato salad

I picked 25 cucumbers this morning so I made 9 more jars of pickles. I made 6 jars that I canned and 3 jars of refrigerator pickles. They were all dill. I might make half sours tomorrow. I still have a drawer full of cucumbers

Tonight is steak and buttered noodles. It's just a bleh night.

Marinating some chicken for the Traeger. Will also throw on some buttered, parm & chives corn. Big salad will all of the garden veggies. Dessert will be S’mores on the grill.

I finished off the fried chicken tonight (breast and drumstick) reheated in the air fryer. DH had had a homemade cheeseburger with pickles and sauteed onions and then chips on the side. He was considering fries, but it's so muggy here right now and the air fryer was occupied by someone's chicken LOL. We were doing some door dash deliveries so had to sneak in a quick dinner when demand was low.

Well, they gave us veggie spring rolls, instead of shrimp, but the rest of the order appears to be correct. It could have been worse.

On my own last night so pulled a bag of hot and sour soup out of the freezer and added some tofu and leftover veggies to it.

today is DGD's birthday, so out to lunch we go.
And again, because of that, not sure what dinner will be yet.

Last night we went out. It was a pre fixe menu for restaurant week. I had a caprese salad for an app, Frutti de mare and tiramisu for dessert. DH had a meatball app, veal parm and cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious!
Today is Sunday lunch and swimming in the pool at my parent’s. We’re having burgers, hot dogs, cucumber and tomato salad, and potato salad. Dessert is birthday cake for my mom’s 77th bday.
Dinner tonight will be leftovers from last night.

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks (end of June and beginning of July). I'm recuperating well, but not yet ready to go out to dinner. A group of our very kind and generous friends gave us an Uber Eats gift card so we are ordering Outback for dinner and Nothing Bundt Cakes (a variety of the little mini bundtlets) for dessert. We are blessed to have such kind and thoughtful friends. I'm looking forward to it.

my little garden has produced some zucchini and red chard so I will make a small pot of minestrone soup and pair it with some homemade lasagna frozen up from the last time I batch cooked several.

Friday we had grilled pork chops, some butter/Parmesan noodles and peas.

Yesterday, we were all painting the house. Dd and ds were outside painting the porch, DH and I tackled the upstairs bathroom and I took care of the front door to the house after I was finished cutting in the bathroom for dh. Oldest dd got out of painting since she was at work. Everything looks so much better now that it’s been freshened up. But that meant ordering dinner. So we got a grandma pie, a pepperoni pie and garlic knots. The leftovers were lunch today.
Tonight we have a minor league baseball game that we’re going to. I’m thinking we’ll just grab hot dogs there for dinner.

We took a ride to get my favorite red potato pizza today. It was delicious!



I made the blackberry cheesecake brownie recommended a few pages back. We’ll try that in a little bit but it looks delicious!
