What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Heading out to a beautiful garden show that happens every year at a high in mall up the road from us. Will probably have a late lunch - Linner…at Capital Grille.

It’s Sunday which has become a regular fish day in my life so tonight it’ll be swordfish piccata with the end of the bag of frozen artichoke hearts added and couscous cooked in broth. Probably a green salad on the side and a cup of lemon sorbet for dessert.

I have some heavy cream to use so I’m making tortellini Alfredo with green salad tonight.

We got back home early this morning. I am toast bc I wasn’t able to sleep well in the car. DH is grilling burgers and making tater tots.

Birthday Linner: Baby gem salad with Parmesan vinaigrette, medium prepared filet mignon with grilled asparagus. (Stole a few of my hubby’s truffle fries, haha) A glass and a half of SeaSmoke Pinot Noir 10 - 2022. And my fav dessert..crème brûlée cheesecake! They also gave us a mini version of their flourless chocolate espresso chocolate cake.

Whewww! I’m good for a few days. hahaha

I did ice it. It’s not as bad as I thought. There is a cut on the bridge of my nose and some bruising under my eye and a little on my cheek. The swelling went down in my nose. Hoping some makeup will cover it. I’m my own worst enemy! I am always injuring myself. I bought a washing machine and they took $100 off so there is that

Last night, we had a tailgate after dd’s lacrosse game. There was pizza and chicken cutlet heros (hoagies, grinders, subs, pick your word for them ) various salads, chips, desserts, etc.
Tonight, I whipped up chicken fajitas. We had leftover corn salsa from the tailgate. We needed something quick because we went car browsing that ended up being a 4.5 hour car SHOPPING event. It was needed. Our “big” car is beyond its last leg. Cars should NOT make those noises or try to buck you around like a bull in the ring! We found a really good deal. A 2023 Kia Forte with only 3300 miles on it. The price was right and we’ve been looking for a long time online. It just wasn’t how either of us expected to spend our day!
