What’s for Dinner Tonight?

grilled burgers, Rice-a-Roni and whatever veggies are in the fridge. We leave tomorrow for a cruise.

I pulled a Turkey I bought around thanksgiving out of the freezer. Roasted Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, asparagus, gravy, and cranberry sauce.

Pulled pork sliders today with Mac and cheese. The pork is cooking away in the crock pot as I text.

I think Chinese take out is on the menu to go with playoff football today. Haven't had takeout in about a month so works for me.

Hi all! Long time lurker. I read almost everyday love hearing about new ideas. I’m not a very good cook but have almost cooked every weeknight.
On Sundays we cook dinner for my parents because my dad had a stroke 2 years ago. My mom used to do Sunday dinner but now my sister and I usually take turns. She has the flu so again it’s my turn, well actually DH is cooking tonight!!

DD used the leftover chicken tenders from Thursday to make chicken stew with a biscuit topping for Saturday night. While she was cooking, she roasted a whole bunch of tomatoes and garlic and made creamy tomato-garlic-basil soup, which we'll have tonight with grilled cheese sandwiches. Hmmm... I wonder if the grilled cheese sandwiches need some bacon...

It's time to, yet again, make a week's menu plan and shopping list. I am running out of ideas and inspiration. I need the weather to warm up, so I can go back to our basic "nice weather" rotation: Some sort of meat, marinaded, and thrown on the grill with grilled veggies and/or salad as the side. That's gonna be a long time coming, though!

I have no idea why but I’ve been craving rice crispy treats and Chex mix. Both came up in conversations over the holidays and I think it planted a seed. I just made rice crispy treats. Chex mix will have to be after a future grocery shopping trip.

Tonight is pulled chicken bbq and curly fries. Because it's quick, I'm exhausted and I've been craving this exact meal for over a week. lol

will likely use the leftover pork in either a fried rice or lo mein style meal later this week.

Moroccan chicken and jasmine rice. I have a stupid cold and didn’t feel like cooking or eating, so dh made it.

The remainder of a bunch of asparagus in the fridge so I roasted em as well as finished off the Brussel sprouts on the same sheet pan. Really didn’t feel like eating any meat so took some tomato water consommé out the freezer, heated it up and that was dinner.
Too bad the man wasn’t here for the asparagus. We used to “babyfight” over who had more than the other.

Didn’t feel like dessert either tonight.
