We just got back from a camping trip so we are basically puttering around the house and relaxing in the deck. Gorgeous day here before we get some rain tomorrow. Planning to grill steaks for dinner. Nothing exciting, but very relaxing.

Thank you - we're pretty happy! It's amazing how quickly we've detached emotionally from this place, which we LOVED, and have started picturing ourselves settled in our new situation. We've got excellent help with the packing, and still lots of time to finish up, or so it feels right now. The next urgent steps are getting the selections and scheduling done for a minor reno on the new place (flooring, paint, cabinets and appliances and some new furniture). We'll only have 20 days to pull all that off between the time we take possession and the move-in date but we're pretty confident. We're both "in the business" and the idea of everything being fresh and new is exciting!
But the time is right for us to take a whack of equity out which will be fairly life-altering for us. We only started even considering it in May and for us, this is whirlwind-fast action. It's all good, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't stressful. Lots of people find change exciting and invigorating - we're not those people.
