Our Nov one night waitlist for BCV still is not come thru. Flights were $490 cheaper to arrive one day sooner, which I did not know at the 11 month window. Got SSR but we will arrive around midnight then have to move in the AM then after the weekend move to AKL for the rest of the stay. I know worse things to do, then be at disney and move but I don't want to. I want to wake up, eat and stroll down to SAB for the day.

you got SSR for one night, then for weekend you got BCV, then starting on Monday AKV...

well you can check in at 6:30am and still be in SALB pool not too much later.

I would not move twice if I could help it. There's still a good chance your WL will come through for one night. You might also see if you could get the entire time at AKV or another resort. Also, given the WL limitations, you should keep checking to see if anything else comes up at BLT in a different view.

My DH absoultely hates moving and I'm starting to feel the same way. I booked a cash ressie though MS with the 25% discount for the 1st two nights cuz I didn't think our Nov BCV waitlist was going to come thru. To me its worth it not to move since they the two ressies are linked by MS.

I called DVC, beach club is also sold out for cash discount of $299 a nite. Nothing but SSR is available the first Thursday nite. We have a studio BCV first weekend so we can enjoy SAB and walk to Epcot one nite then Hollywood Studios the next nite. Then we go to AKL one bedroom for six nites. Don't have enough points for one bedroom the entire trip.

Personally I'd either get a room even if none discounted (AAA maybe) or change venue's to not move twice. Hopefully the WL comes through and it's a moot point.

We were going to arrive 12/01-but got a bee in our bonnet to fly out the night before.....so spending our first night 11/30 at Pop. Then on to 2 studios at AKV.

I don't know if you qualify or not, but I got a great rate at the Dolphin for the night before our stay. I went through Dreams Unlimited. That way you would be closer than SSR to BCV. Here's the link to DU

:) I also tried to get the Swalphin for our night 11/30. Neither resort had any openings at that time. I was trying to use the nurse discount, but I do think I ask for just regular room rates, too. Still nothing available.

I made the same mistake and booked a flight the day before our booked 2bdrm at OKW for Dec. 15 - it was only $120 cheaper, but everyone wanted an extra day at WDW! Now I'm trying to decide if we should stay in two rooms at Pop for the extra night, or go ahead and book a 2bdrm on cash for the general public discount (only $333 for the night) - my DH hates moving, and our flight arrives at 9:30 am, so we'll have all day to settle in and get our groceries. Hope we decide soon, or we may not have any choices.

I did something similar for our April 2011 trip. We are arriving around midnight our first day, so I booked a studio. At the 7 month mark, I'm hoping to switch the following 9 days to a 1BR. I just couldn't see paying all of those extra points for that first night since we are literally going to walk in the door and throw ourselves into bed. I'll do online check-in prior to and pray our 1BR is ready when we leave the studio.

I agree. We have been on a wait list for one night (10/10) at BCV for several months and I really doubt it will come through. I have been calling almost daily for the past month to see if I could at least secure a cash room so we can stay there. There has been no availability at all. Finally, yesterday I called and a cash room opened up so I took it. I'll stay on the waitlist until the 7 days, but not a big deal at this point.

Like you said, all the reservations are linked and the deluxe dining plan is added so we are good to go.
