We've talked TV.. how about music?

I like all kinds of music. My favorite rock group, by far, is U2. I have seen them in concert 25 times. I've taken vacation time and told my coworkers I am heading to the beach when in actuality I am hanging around in line at the arena to get the best spot on the floor at their shows. DH is an even bigger U2 fan than me!

When I am cooking and eating dinner, I like to listen to jazz and vocals, especially Etta James, Duke Ellington, Norah Jones, Ben Webster, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra.

On Friday nights, it's eighties night! DH and I play 80's music and dance around the house. Yep, we're weird.

A little bit of everything for me. There's a radio station around Boston that advertises they're "like listening to your entire CD collection on random play." Well, that's what goes on at my house. All of the music is loaded into the computer and left on random. Lots of celtic, lots of folky music, tons of 80's bouncy music, a good sprinkle of Disney, mix in some country and some rock... Gets great looks from people just visiting since the music is always on.

I like a little of everything except rap. 70's, 80's most 90's. I actually like some of dd7's Kids Bop CDs. The last 10 years I really like Bluegrass! The twanger the better.

But if I hear High School Musical one more time I will run screaming into the streets!

Well let's see I'm 20 years old and my favorite band is Bon Jovi. I don't care that Jon is 23 or 24 years older than I am...he is the sexiest man alive, in my opinion.

Other greats on my iPOD include the Rolling Stones (saw them in concert in September...awesome!) and various other 80s rock like Poison, Guns n Roses, KISS, name something, it's on there. I can't help it...my parents were young in the 80s when they had me so that's what I grew up on and, also in my opinion, it happens to be a lot better than some of the other music from today...

wow it's an 80's crowd. now let's talk music. hair bands i loved them. but it had to be heavy metal for me. metallica,megadeth,slayer,venom. all of the hard stuff from the 80's. METALLICA has been a band i will enjoy for years . i first heard of them in 1981. i have been to 5 metallica concerts too. i even had the long hair til 2004. i finished high school in 1987. love the 80's and i have all mp3 type cd's with 170 songs on each cd. some at 80's some are disney. i hope i didn't scare anyone!!

I will listen to just about anything except heavy metal and rap, but I am a country girl at heart! Give me Kenny Chesney (oh, please give him to me!) or Trace Adkins and current fave Keith Urban. I could look and listen to these guys any day, any time! Oooh lala!

I will listen to Keith Urban any time, any where!!! I really love country music, other faves are Brad Paisley, Trisha Yearwood, Sugarland. When I do have to put on something different in the van cause my kids are sick of hearing it, I'll put on some of my 80's music--Black Crowes, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, AC/DC. My second favorite artist next to KU is John Mellencamp. This weekend I put on my Fleetwood Mac 'Rumours' CD while I was folding laundry--had'nt listened to that in ages!!

liamsaunt--don't you just hate it when you have to lie to cover up your obsession?! People are like that at my work whenever I talk about KU and his music--they just don't get it!!

I'm an 80's girl too. I love Kenny Loggins, Elton John (all 50 decades of him), Billy Joel, Styx, Journey, REO. Plus I love most of the 70's folky kind of music. Bread, SImon and Garf., John Denver, Carly Simon.

You will not catch me listening to country crap or rap crap, except for the song "this one's for the Girls" which came out the year my DD turned 13 and it is our theme song.
