We just bought a 2003 Coleman popup:thumbsup2 sleeps 9!!!
For now I'm excited!

But then, I think back to the last time we stayed @ FW in a tent in stormed while we were @ the parks & the one side of the tent collapsed & EVERYTHING was standing in a pool of water:scared:

Makes me wonder what kinda problems we'll have on our next adventure:scratchin but we've done it now - ha!

Not sure if we're gonna stay @ FW on this trip...I'm dying too...but we are taking my MIL & she'll flip out I'm sure if we told her no more Marriott - just a popup...:faint:

We'll see

luvmyfam,

Congratulations on the new-to-you pup! :dance3:

Do you have any experience with owning trailers before? I don't know that I would make my first trailer trip a Fort trip. Are you planning to try it out close to home first? If not I would recommend so.

Claims of how many you can sleep have to be taken with a grain of salt. That usually means folding down every couch, dinette, to make into beds and then reversing the process each morning. And it's usually close quarters if you try to reach the max number (if everyone is not really close friends before the trip, they will be after).

If you come with several people you might want to bring a small tent to use to stash clothes/suitcases (nothing worth getting stolen though) since counter space and drawers are precious real estate in a popup.

Maybe your MIL can stay in a Value resort and just day-visit you at the Fort or in the parks. That's an alternative we've used.

Take good care of it and it will give you many nights of happy memories. :thumbsup2

Congratulations on your popup. Camping is great family time.

Congrats on your new RV
Nothing beats RVing and returning to your"own" pillow after an exhausting day.

Thanks. We're excited.

Yes, we plan to go for a few days locally for spring break to try it out. Our WDW trip is a month later

DH set it up today so me & kiddos could see it. We ate pizza in it for supper & of course the kids begged to stay out there but since we didn't have sheets or anything I talked them out of it.:thumbsup2

thanks for the tip about the tent for luggage. We took a screened tent to eat in when we tent camped @ FW...kept food table & coolers there - it was nice.
