Well I went to sleep at 7pm and woke at around 1am felling really rough. I lay there thinking it’s my imagination there is no way I’m going to be sick on holiday. After around 2 minutes it was obvious I was going to be ill and no amount of mind over matter was going to change that. I then spent the rest of the night on the floor in the bathroom bringing back the Trex meal – Lovely.
Wayne very quickly decided he was sleeping in the spare room downstairs and when the kids woke up he intercepted them on the landing leaving me lying in bed feeling awful that I was about to ruin everything. I tried to get up but just didn’t have the energy to even cross the room let alone take everyone out.
Wayne was now on his own to look after kids and to work out how to use the oven so he could feed them – top marks though he managed. He even took them around the villa complex to find a play park for a bit.
I just faded in and out of sleep all day. At one point I remember waking up feeling a bit better and I could hear the kids and Wayne in the pool so I opened the blinds to watch them a bit. Keira straight away realised I was watching and started blowing kisses up to the window. Talk about not helping the guilt complex that id left them with nothing to do today.
For this week we were back in the villa that the Christian Lewis childrens cancer trust own and kindly let us use when we added an extra week to our holiday. It’s an amazing villa but it also had a lot of ghosts from the past and lying in bed with nothing to do was hard as I had far too much time to think! I had been worried before we left about returning to the villa where we stayed when Cam was really poorly but I rationalised it out that we would be too busy to think about it – well that would probably have been right if I had not had food poisoning from the meal the day before !!
It was strange though because it also reminded me how much better Cam was now than then!
Wayne assures me that the kids were fine and enjoyed the lazy day and they had all played lovely with the few board games that were in the villa !
I did get a laugh though when early evening Wayne came upstairs to tell me the heat of the pool water hadn’t improved any and told me what had happened when trying to get Dan in the water.
He had told him to just get in and stand still and his legs would soon get use to the water temperature! Dan obliged and a few minutes later Wayne asked him if his legs had warmed up?
Dan replied “My legs are fine my P***S is freezing!!”
Oh out of the mouth of babes!

Tomorrow was Dan’s birthday and I knew whatever happened I needed to be on my feet and managing to take them out!!
DAY FOUR Here
