I awoke to the sun streaming into the bedroom and instantly felt that familiar smile burst out all over my face. I woke Wayne up to get him to come out on the balcony with me before the kids woke up.Its mad to stand with the man I love in the sun and watch tiny ripples over the lake.Just the most relaxing start to a morning ever, What more could a girl ask for ???
Today we were heading To Hollywood Studios. So kids dutifully got up ate and dressed and we were again at the park just after the opening ceremony!
So on entering the park we split up - Keira and I heading for Hollywood and Vine for breakfast with the playhouse disney gang and the boys were off to find some fun !!
Hollywood and Vine as a party of 2 was very strange I felt like I had lost something but I was also looking forward to quality time with just Keira.
If you have never been to teh playhouse breakfast I need to explain its very high energy with the characters joining a host and dancing and singing to teh populaur tunes from the channel. Keira loved watching but wouldnt join in at the front !
The breakfast buffet was gorgeous and the chef recognised the limited choice for Kiera and made her special mickey shaped pancakes and gave her a light up Tinkerbell that clipped onto her drink! Which she loved
It seemed to take a while to get the characters to come round and it was very very busy restaurant. The first character was June from Little Einsteins and Kiera was nice but you could tell she wasnt that interested she had her eyes on Handy Manny and Oso. Oso is a huge character and he was very gentle with Keira but seemed somewhat difficult to move about.
Next up was Handy manny and Keira threw herself at him she adores the programme and had watched him like a hawk all the way through the restaurant so she was brimming over by the time he reached her !!
She showed him her tinkerbell and he flew Tink around and gave her the thumbs up.
Then the most amazing thing happened Keira sat on his lap and Handy manny tipped her back and started tickling her belly. Keira was giggling away and loving every second.
When the music started for the characters to sing and dance again Keira actually went to join in and she stood staring at Handy Manny with total admiration.
We paid the bill and went to find the boys who been on a few rides but were now eager to do Toy story Mania so thats where we headed and we rode it twice in a row just to get it out of everyones system.
Then we needed to settle a bet between Ben and I. He had to go on Rock n Roller coaster without taking the chicken exit and then I had to go on Tower of Terror again. So Cameron was very eager to get to the area that had both rides.
First up Rock n roller coaster and Cam and Dan came along with us. Daniel bless him looked very white when he was strapped in and someone in the line actually pointed out how small he was in the seat but before I could ask him if he was still ok with it, it shot off !
Well after the 30 second spin in a limo both Dan and Ben looked very green and poor Dan needed help to stand at one point in the ride I asked him if he was ok his reply was simple "NO!"
Then the second part of the bet - I had to face my fear and go on Tower of Terror !
My feet felt like they were made of lead as I walked upto the entrance with Cam,Keira and Wayne. A glimmer of hope thatteh scaffolding around the front meantthat they would say it was actually closed for refurb - but No such luck !! We got to the first room and we looked at Keira and asked if she actually knew what we were doing. She replied "Getting Ice Cream?" After explaining that it was a ride and did she want to do it she declared yes course I do why wouldnt I??
We missed the elevators as we walked through and the wait for the next one killed me !! Cameron was laughing at me because I was so scared !! keira however was annoyed that we had to wait again!!
We did the ride and I Keira loved it I was holding on to her hand and also the seat liek grim death. At one point she moved so much both me n wayne had to pull her ack into her seat but she was laughing when she got off.
I however really needed a sit down and some deep breathing
wayne and Cam went round to RnR so that wayne could have his turn so
While waiting for them to come back we sat on a wall and enjoyed a mickey Ice cream. I kept telling Keira I couldnt believe she had been on ToT and after a few minutes she said " Ok no big deal shut up about it now !!"
I genuinly couldnt believe it she was so unphased by it !!
When my little adrenalin Junkie came back to us we wandered into the beauty and the beast show.
It was getting sooo hot today that even though it was a good half hour until it started the cool theatre was a very welcome reprive from the sun. There was a gentleman behind us laughing at teh boys who were saying we did everything for Kiera and nothing for them and THEY HATED PRINCESSES!! He and us told them in a few years they would be begging for Keira to go meet the princesses
As we exited the theatre the heat hit us and we decided to exit back to the pool for a few hours.
At 4pm we were all hungry and decide to try the Outback steakhouse that we had driven past and I had heard so many good things about. The meal was amazing and the cheapest meal all holiday. I highly reccomend the Outback and cant say enough good aboutthe place. They even made special items for Kiera.
After filling our bellys we went back to Hollywood studios to see the Osbourne lights. I was so excited by this as I had heard so much about them.
The second where they switch on takes your breath away - absolutly breathtakingly beautiful. Then the dance routine spirals it way past any words could describe.
After the dancing stopped the snow started and it just felt so festive and beautiful that we found a bench and just sat and took in the millions of lights for a while.
Its funny how fast time can go when you are are so relaxed and a quick glance atthe time had us dashing fro teh animation building to meet Magic mickey before the park closed. We just made it and the CM smiled at us as he ushered us straight in!
The kids had a play on the machines and then we dropped it to them gently that the park was closing and we needed to head to the exit. Cameron & Daniel had a dance when they saw stitch on the wall and insisted on a picture to show that stitch had been found today !!
Its still warm as we head for the exit and everyone of us is smiling at what a wonderful day.
