I am back on and absolutely loving your trip report. It sure looks like you and your family had a terrific Christmas, too.
I have to agree with you on the DIS update/upgrade thing. I am having trouble with the smilies too.
As one of your DIS groupies I am getting worried about how long you will be off the DIS with your move coming up and all. ?? Are you going to make a quick stop at DW when you go down on the 8th? I am so happy for you and DH. (wicked big hugs for you both!) I hope all goes smoothly with the house signing and all. But first, more trippie report and pics. (I know I'm coming up soon. LOL)

Oooh, that is so cool you got a video camera for Christmas!! I would love to get something like that (maybe for college graduation, hehe!). All we have is a really old clunky one. But the other night my sisters and I were watching some of our home videos from WDW when we were really little, and I was thinking it would be so cool to take a video camera again.

Love the pictures from the Christmas party...I got to go to my first Halloween party this year and had a great time, so I need to get to one of those MVMCP some day! Great trip report!

Yeah, DH is REALLY getting into it. It's a bit strange, but I am so happy to see it! I told everyone at the beginning of the Pre-Trip that I was converting him to the ways of The DIS!! It's working! Oh, and I’m glad you came out of hiding to say hello!

Oh, I know! I was thinking about me being off The DIS for awhile and I don't know what I'm gonna do without my DIS'ers!! I'm not going to be able to keep you updated with the process of the house! We are now going down on Janurary 9 and I'll be gone for about 2 weeks or longer! No internet for that entire time!! I know we aren't going to want to hook it up and pay for it until I go back down to stay there for good! It's going to be bad, but once I get back to North Carolina, I can spend over a week on The DIS before we go back to Florida! I should be getting the internet hooked up when I go to my new Florida home in February! I will keep everyone updated before I leave, but I will have to miss everyone for a whole 2 weeks. Not good at all!


No theme parks during this first trip to the house, but my Mom and I are going "dibbing & dabbing," as we call it, at the Garden View Lounge for afternoon tea! I'm going to surprise my Mom! I have also made ADRs at Spoodles at The Boardwalk Inn and Kona Cafe at Poly! I gotta get a little Disney in there! I'm hoping we can get over to Downtown Disney too! We shall see! I know we'll be pretty busy, but I gotta get to the Disney Property!

A WICKED big thank you for the hug! DH will loved to know that I heard from you! He's always asking about his new DIS friend, Lesley! Isn't that cute!? Oh, you gotta let me know when you come on back to Disney! Can you make it to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween DIS Party on October 12!? I'm already planning and I'm ready to go!

The video camera is awesome and fits right in the palm of my hand! I LOVE it! The camera bag is smaller than my purse! How awesome is that!? I always hated carrying around video cameras because they were always too big and got in the way. This is perfect! I went to my first MNSSHP this year too! I had a blast! We are having a MNSSHP DIS Party next year on October 12! You should come!!

BAH HUMBUG!

The next stop on the list was Dumbo! Mickey and I really wanted to ride on that magical flying elephant again! DH, Chip, & Dale decided they'd watch us from below and give us a wave! Dumbo was even decked out in his Santa hat for the party! We thought that was such a neat touch!

Mickey and I had a blast flying on Dumbo and went skipping along to see what to do next! We saw the Christmas Tree Lot and noticed Donald Duck was out! I really wanted to see Donald because I hadn't seen him in awhile, but the line was long and we figured he'd be switched out with Scrooge by the time we got up to the front. I do love Scrooge though and thought it would be great to have a Christmas photo with him! We did look pretty cute in our Santa hats!

The lines are always long for the characters at the special events and we spent most of the night in line meeting characters, but it is worth it! I was happy to see Scrooge again because I am such a "Duck Tales" fan! I am so glad Scrooge was out for the party! He is one of the most important Christmas characters!

DH and I were getting really hot and sweaty. It was such a muggy night and we were not dressed right at all in our long-sleeve shirts and Santa hats! We decided it was time for a break and went to get our free hot chocolate and cookies, even though neither of us wanted hot chocolate at this point. A big glass of ice cold water would have been so much nicer!

We stopped and got our free treats at the Columbia Harbour House and it was packed! It was also burning up in there, but it was still hotter outside. There was no "winter feeling" at this Christmas Party! You could choose between hot chocolate or apple juice and a cookie or apple slices. We really wanted apple juice, but they ran out! DH made quite a scene about it too! I could tell he was hot, tired, and hitting the wall by this point! The CM was very nice and offered us extra cookies and apple slices, but DH refused. I kindly took them and said thank you. I had to get DH outta there!!

We sat outside for awhile, so we could take a break, but I don't think cooling off was an option. Chip 'n Dale were a little tired too, so I thought sugar would do the trick! It worked and it perked the little Boys right up and the "big boy" too!

The Christmas Carolers were outside singing right in front of us, so we relaxed and listened to some Christmas tunes! The Boys and I even joined in on "Jingle Bells!"

I've finally caught up with your trippie. The MVMCP looks great, I hope we get chance to go next year.

We had my future in laws here for Christmas so I wasn't able to get back online until today. I'm so pleased to have the Dis back. We too had a lovely quiet Christmas. Thank you for sharing your Christmas day pics with us

I am sorry to hear that you had to spend the holidays with the future in-laws! It's worse when they become your in-laws. My "MIL" is getting on my nerves! I am lucky that they live in Texas! They are getting on DH's nerves too, so I'm not alone!

Ty got a StarWars Lego chicken walker. At least that's what he calls it. He loves Lego stuff and spends hours putting them together, taking apart, recreating, etc....Also a robot, a planetarium, some Disney movies, etc...
DD got a digital camera, Sony of course.
BTW I have a Sony Handycam and used it all the time at WDW. I love it! It also takes great stills.
I'm cracking up that your DH now is a DISer. Well, to the second degree I guess, since it's through you and not really on his own.
I replied at the trip meet thread about the Oct trip.
GTG - DD is wanting a ride to the mall, of course.

AND behold the power of the DIS, I was showing my boyfriend your pics of chip and dale out and about and how cute it was that they got to see the "WORLD" and in my stocking this year..i got a piglet and pooh bear to take with us in June! Who knew what a little DIS magic and a fabulous trip report could do!

I'm getting behind on my reporting! I'm disappointed with myself! I've just been kinda tired and out-of-it lately. I think the stress is starting to creep up on me! I've been on The DIS, but too tired to actually type! Isn't that just sad!?

Does anyone have any exciting plans for New Years? I don't and I don't think I really want any. I need to rest before the packing and moving begins. I hate packing and unpacking! It's the worst and I have done it way too many times in my life! I have made some exciting Disney Dining plans! I decided I should eat well, since I will be working up a big appetite with all the unpacking, painting, and cleaning!

Here's what I got:

- Whispering Canyon Cafe
- Kona Café (Breakfast- I gotta try that Tonga Toast!)

Holiday Wishes



It was almost time for the Holiday fireworks! I was excited to see "Holiday Wishes" because I had never seen the spectacle before and the most amazing fireworks I had ever seen were at MNSSHP! I had to see if these could top it or even come close! We had a little time to waste, so we walked around Frontierland and we saw Woody! Woody is another character I have yet to meet! I love Woody! He is my favorite "Toy Story" toy! Woody got very excited about our hats because obviously he is really into his hat. He began comparing my Santa hat to his cowboy hat and he thought his was a lot better! I don't think so!

It was time to go get a spot for the fireworks and we were only about 5 minutes early, but we got the best spot possible for the show! We were as close as we could get to the Castle to be able to still have a full-view of it all! I had never been able to get so close before for a fireworks show!

"Holiday Wishes" was great! I loved the snowflakes on the Castle! The music was beautiful too! My favorite part was when they began to play some "toy shop type music" and you could hear the winding sounds of gears. Does that make sense!? Anyway, it was the sounds of winding up a toy and winding gears appeared on the Castle to go with the music. DH & I liked that part!

One of the most beautiful sights is when the sprial fireworks go off on the Castle! It is so neat to see and the crowd really gets into it at this point!

"Holiday Wishes" was pretty much exactly the same as "Hallowishes," but Christmas themed, instead of Halloween themes, of course! The finale was the same with the fireworks going off all around you, but it is so awesome to have the entire theme park light-up around you!

The fireworks were fantastic and when the lights came back up, we still couldn't see because of all the smoke! I must say that the fireworks at MNSSHP and MVMCP are, by far, the best fireworks' shows ever! They are not to be missed and you haven't seen a fireworks' spectacle, until you see one of these!

Sounds like they had a pretty awesome Christmas! I love the Star Wars Legos! My brother and I use to have a ton of them! Our favorite was the pirate ship that also came with skeletons. It was pretty cool!
I love my new Handycam! I can't wait to try it out at WDW! I gotta buy a memory card for it too! Thanks for reminding me!
